What’s the point of giving us a hearthstone toy if it shares a cd with our hearthstone? It’s useless.

That’s the way all hearthstone toys work. The exception will be the Dalaran and Garrison hearthstones when they’re added to the toybox in the next patch.

Its provides players with a cosmetic choice of what they want their hearthstone’s animation to look like. There are many to choose from.
It also makes it so you dont have to keep a hearthstone in your inventory

The toy is strictly for the animation. Toys, in general, are often useless and may only provide some cosmetic or animation.
Much like when we were children and toys were awesome, we become adults, look at the same toy and think what’s the point of this?
As others have said, it’s a cosmetic change to the hearthstone animation. It’s not a separate hearthstone. The only separate hearthstones are Legion Dalaran and your Garrison. Those will also be added to the toybox this coming patch to free up a couple of bag slots.

Meanwhile… Me over here wanting MORE Hearthstone toys that’s only purpose is to change what hearthing looks like.
I guess if you want more hearths that dont share a cooldown… roll a mage, shammy or a druid?

Aside from the aforementioned Dalaran and Garrison hearthstones… all these Hearthstone variants are just to give us a different animations to choose from.

Because its considered a Hearthstone to begin with? It shares with all the other Hearthstone toys too. If it makes you feel any better, you don’t need to carry your original one in your bag.
Oh that is good news. No longer going to take up space in my bag or bank.
As for the hearthstone toys, think of them as mogs for your hearth. Get them all and you can have the one you like on that character.

No, it’s a cool cosmetic. If you actually expected to have two unique hearthstones then you must not have been paying attention when they added all the others.
All heartstone toys share the same cooldown. 
Those toys are still awesome. He-man was awesome. So was Strawberry Shortcake.

I love the options provided by all the different hearthstone toys. The different animations alone make them useful to me.
