Is it still possible to get this in BFA? If so, how do you go about doing it?
I google’d this and the directions were all really weird and confusing. Almost impossible too, since it seems you can’t unlock artifact traits post-Legion.

You’re reading stuff that’s out of date. You can ignore all the stuff about unlocking artifact traits or upgrading the artifact weapons to concordance, all of those were removed in the BfA-prepatch while it was still technically Legion.
You can still unlock it post-legion. It requires completing the Hunter class hall campaign and I think the Breaching the Tomb achievement. You do have to unlock all 3 hunter artifact weapons as part of the campaign and that will require you to be in the correct hunter spec to accept the artifact weapon quest and turn in the artifact weapon quest; in the middle, do what you want. You don’t have to use the artifact weapon.
Its a time intensive process. The good news is that by the time you’ve finished you will be very close to earning the class mount.
