Tome of Cold Weather Flying - Can't mail to an alt

Hi, I hit 80 a little while ago and tried to send a Tome of Cold Weather Flying to an alt character, but it doesn’t work. The character is on a different account under the same battle.net account. Considering that you are able to mail BoAs between accounts under the same battle.net account on retail, I figured you’d be able to do the same in Wrath.

Would it be possible to get some clarification on this? Thanks

Is the tome really in the game? It wasn’t supposed to be added until ToC (patch 3.2).

You have no life lol

It has to be the same realm in WotLK afaik. What you are talking about was not added until much later.

Go outside weirdo

only retail would allow BoA items to be sent to other accounts :expressionless:

How the hell.

Coming from the Vulpera. Hm.

Having the same issue. Was also unable to refund the tomes to the vendor.

If that character isn’t on the same character screen you’re toast.

I got scammed by this today. I bought the tome, learned it on my level 70 alt, went to Northrend, can’t fly. Cold weather flying is in my general tab, but it doesn’t work.

Sounds like you might not have flying on your alt, which is still a requirement

has there been any response from blizzard on this?

Speaking of mailing things, anyone know if you can mail the shoulder enchants from Hodir to alts? I ask because this still seems like Wrath Lite (Rogues’ sap still can’t be used on beasts/dragonkin like they could in WotLK, some dungeon boss mobs still pack spell resistances, still getting random resist/miss chances despite being capped (with a pot)).

I did, it worked after I relogged. It also turns out you can’t fly in Valgarde for some reason.

Confirmed via a ticket response that this is a temporary bug/problem

Awesome, any chance you can provide a screenshot of the interaction to confirm?

It’s been hotfixed. You can now mail them to any character on your battle.net account.
