Tomb of Sargeras raid issue

Kil’Jaeden is a complete jerk in this raid on Heroic or Mythic. I have tried both difficulties and cannot kill him solo. I have no idea if it is even possible. My main here is a Holy Priest, but for this raid I can go Disc or Shadow and I have no issue whatsoever until this last boss. The blow back gets me everytime. I have tried going to the purple orbs that spawn and I must be doing something wrong because I keep getting thrown off. Is there a way to solo this or do I need more people to down him? Thank you for any info!

You can absolutely solo it.
I believe sometimes two orbs can spawn in quick succession though, so you need to make sure the blast back from Orb one directions you to the location of Orb two.
Also, don’t be inside the Orb, you just need to be close.

It can be done, it’s just easier for some classes/specs than others.

I would suggest looking up a guide for your class/spec and practice.

I BELIEVE IN YOU

It’s my belief that there shouldn’t be ANY mechanics in dungeons/raids that old that can kill ANY level 70. If you are 10-20 levels over the original level cap, then the bosses should be waiting at the door with your loot.

Raid Gul’dan had me asking for help

The orbs will knock you directly away from where the orb landed, so you want to be very close to, but not directly under the orb when it lands, lined up so that you won’t be knocked off the platform.

On heroic, and I believe some of Mythic, the orb spawn positions are random and will often appear in groups of 2+. Your goal is to observe the spawn order of the orbs so you can see which will land first, run to it, and position yourself so you will actually be knocked towards the next orb, then quickly reposition so the 2nd orb will knock you to the 3rd orb, and so on.

Mythic has a nasty phase transition however, where darkness will occur plus the knockback orbs frequently during darkness. I won’t explain how to do the darkness mechanic, you probably already know, but the orbs during this transition are not random. The first orb always spawns in the same corner every attempt, and the orbs will continue spawning I believe in a clockwise rotation in batches of 2-3. Memorise which corner is the one it always starts at and let the orbs bounce you from corner to corner (Don’t forget to quickly reposition after every bounce!) until they stop landing. Chances are you hit Illidan along the way. Quickly kill what you can then as soon as DBM tells you orbs spawning, get back to the corner you last landed at and get ready to bounce a few more times.

Oof, Legion ain’t that old buddy. Go back to WoD and die to Archimond fall damage because you killed him too fast.

Too much work I should already have the mog in my inventory yesterday.

I will help you if you want.

Legion is old. There’s 3 expansions between now and Legion. There’s BFA, SL, and now DF. Legion was 7 years ago. It’s old.

I know this is old but I just wanted to mention I was able to one shot him on mythic with the Belor’relos, the Suncaller trinket. He might be one-shotable generally now but if not, the trinket worked.
