Tol Dagor is Arkham Asylum

Actually, it seems any jail the Alliance controls is just a setup for a jailbreak. What's with the giant tunnels running into any jail? Do the guards just think the TRex sized holes in the floor and walls are too small! After 3 different jail break scenarios, it's time the writers find a new plot device. Even Batman villains don't escape from jail as frequently as NPCs in this current expansion.
Stormwind Stockades
Tol Barad
Violet Hold
Tol Dagor

Prisons in WoW are flimsy as hell.
Ulduir is technically a prison too, though we're breaking in to kill something....
Think Tol dagor and the horde's visit in the stockades would still present as a challenge if we weren't fortunate. Violet hold is a strong target with their dangerous inmates.
Lets not forget the most flagrant jailbreak caused in the middle of a trial.

Zaela and Garrosh.

His break out was almost as over the top as that French dude who got a helicopter ride out prison.

Y'know, if the Celestials actually intervened instead of just sitting there all like "face your negativity, important lore figures," maybe we could have skipped three expansions.

geez dont whisper sweet things like that to me, that would be amazing.
don't forget every titan facility that is supposed to store dangerous things (old gods)
not only violet hold, the horde also released aethas from prison in mop.

hell, one of the defining moments for belfs was escaping dalaran from garithos to outland.

now that i think about it, literally every warden prison. illidan was released by tyrande, and wasn't maiev also released in BC? and then, in legión when the demons attacked the dh prison, maiev was then rescued AGAIN from prison.

just stop with prisons and just kill them already.
but thinking about it twice.. the kultiran fleet and jaina were also captured in some sort of magical prisons and even then they were released/rescued.

if someone gets captured then we can just assume that is going to be released at some point.
so maybe Arkham Asylum is actually all prisons in wow.

Are you referring to Ulduar or Uldir? Ulduir does not exist (yet).

Ulduar, Ahn'Qiraj and whatever N'zoth's prison is called are the proper prisons.

I have to say though, Ulduar is the biggest embarrassment out of all of them. You originally had eight keepers all watching over ONE prisoner. One of them left (odyn), another was corrupted because he couldn't keep it in his pants (Loken), another one died (Tyr) and the other one fled and hid in an unfinished titan complex (Archaedas).

Then Loken went about, corrupting two (Hodir and Freya), murdered another who then got a new body (Mimiron) and sent his brother on the depression train (Thorim). Moral of the story, never sleep with your sister in law. You never know what is going to happen.

That's actually a problem we face in the real world. Long term containment of a threat is really, really difficult to plan for. In our case it usually involves storage of radioactive substances that take hundreds or thousands of human lifetimes to become safe but the point is still the same. How do you build a facility that will last after we're gone?
