Continuing the discussion from Undermine(d) Development Notes:
the summary of my feedback: Please don’t add bad luck to the bad luck protection.
My initial reaction to the change is purely negative. The note also fails to explain the reasoning behind the change at all. “We feel that the time has come to move on” ok, why? Why do you feel the time has come to move on? Without telling us your reason, this might as well read “we feel the time has come to give players another thing to be frustrated about.”
“Players will now want to–” No. Players will now have to find another piece of gear. That is not want. Many (probably most) players saved their omni-token as their last piece because they did not know what would drop or when, and so the token could be used to fill in any slot if they had been unlucky. An extra catalyst charge does nothing to help people who can’t get a helm to drop, or a chest piece, or legs. People don’t want to feel obligated to waste a catalyst charge on a low ilvl item that they should theoretically have a replacement for at any moment with the content they are doing. Obviously that already happens to some degree if you are really unlucky, but now it is going to happen more for seemingly no reason.
Please reconsider this change, or at least give us an explanation that won’t have people scratching their heads going “wait… why are you making it worse?”
