No, im not. Look at you insulting people again because you want to say that Blizzard should compete with illegal gold sellers and thats not how it works. The players influence the price of the tokens. What do you think every price fluctuation Blizzard is micromanaging the price? Thats the players.
All Blizzard can do is perma ban gold buyers. Thats the only thing that would work.

The token is about Blizzard getting more money from their players. That’s it. Full stop.

Sadly can’t buy the classic token and add to my bnet balance, only on retail.
If Blizzard was serious about using the token to combat RMT they’d drop the price to $15 and not profit off it. This would negatively impact third party gold prices and maybe negatively affect other RMT in regards to boost and sales as buying tokens for gold for boosts/carries would be more competitive.
But despite their supposed dedication to combating RMT they draw the line at making a profit first.

Artisan flying, dual spec, and a what the heck buy all those skills I never touched in leveling since I leveled advised specs for leveling for alts.

At this point I am not even calling it tin foil. They are baiting retailers to power level up and make token gold in classic.
Masters of retail heroic raid and some if not mythic raid bosses should have no issues finding a steady money maker in classic. 4K easier than close to 300K to make as I see it.
Blizzard dug its own hole here. I told them to put the token in at the start, not halfway through the third game. Now they once again suffer the consequences of being too little, too late.
- Rampant botters already pillaged out the gold trading market. Gold is cheaper than digital dirt and players at this point are sitting on massive piles with which they have nothing to spend it on. You’d think they’d dump it onto tokens for game time but…
- Everyone is already running on 6 or 12 month subs. This is because Blizzard refused to put the token in for years and gave no prior warning that it’d just suddenly pop up one day. We can’t now go back in time to “not” buy these long subs in favor of buying tokens instead. We also can’t refund the remaining times to switch to tokens. This is a loss for Blizzard since the token is 20$/month vs the 15 or less on normal sub time. Well done Blizzard!
- The backlash against the token also could have been largely avoided if it was in from the start, not dropped in now. Any complaints against it would have passed long ago back in classic. People also would have known up front what they were getting and not feel betrayed later on down the road. But to say “we’re never doing this” then later suddenly drop it one day??? That’s the worst way to do a feature. Blizzard regularly puts itself in a lose/lose situation, where even the right thing is disappointing because it is too little, too late, not done right or when it should have been done.

Idc if it’s only pennies I still purchased the token. My salary is high enough to afford $20 lol. I honestly don’t know why people care. Literally let people be. Why should someone else care about how I spend my money - if someone wants to spend their money, regardless of how idiotic it may seem, that’s their right (and their money).
wowltk had a truly sturdy economy you could make gold in many ways so its not truly worth it to pay for the tokens, also the guy that plays official woltk could be playing in a private server if that person wanted.
Player caused lamo, token shouldve been added in TBC to avoid ALL of this.
Everyone too focused on gold and gdkps and now there is no new player interest. Gatekeeping.
