Please add the option to hide your gear from inspect. I don’t know what has changed this expansion, but I’m sick of the vultures trying to take every piece of loot that I win.
“Your ilvl is higher.” Okay? I need the mog
“It’s my BIS!” Okay? It’s still an upgrade for me.
“Those stats are better for me!” Okay? Better luck next time.
I’ve never been harassed over loot like I have been in Dragonflight. The entitlement is insane.
Just ignore them and move on?
Inspect is an important thing to have to vet players and their gear in relevant content, hiding it wouldn’t change what you think it would.
Many don’t ask for loot after inspecting and realizing the player who got it needed it to begin with.
A few whispers shouldn’t upset you so much, everyone is just trying to get by
They need to hide loot from other people. The loot you get should be personal and not broadcasted to everyone.
It is no one’s business to know what gear you picked up unless your in a guild run.
Which is why I said a toggle. I can turn it on so the raid/dungeon leader can see it, and then turn it off once I’m in the group.
It’s not a few. It’s literally every single piece of loot that I win. It’s like walking through skid row with a wad of cash in my hand.

Please no. We don’t need to adopt this absurd argument from Final Fantasy.
The truth doesn’t change when you can’t tell what it is. The same arguments will exist if you fetch something outdated from the web API and you know people will do this rather than letting it go.
So then as a previous poster suggested, loot drops should be hidden.
You can block whispers from people not on your friends list, or not within your guild using Badboy + Badboy Levels addons.
