Only because they destroyed raids for it.
Erm.
How?
The same way that M+ complaining delves destroyed M+. By funneling people into different content.
@OP
I was in your exact shoes. But, instead of repeatedly listing keys that only attract poorly performing pugs, I went out through raider IO to find new friends and new people to play with. This is the new strategy, unfortunately. Networking.
I know a lot of people don’t like that additional interaction and friction, but it has paid dividends in saving my time. I only have a few hours per day several times a week and much like yourself, having it wasted while waiting is awful. So, I can empathize.
Another problem is there is no meaningful alternative to abom limb in the dk tree. It’s just that or nothing. Personally I dislike the grab aspect of it because for the most part your normal grips and gorefiends is enough and are not random.
It’s a weirdly designed ability and I wish instead of abom limb they gave us swarming mists from shadowlands instead
The ones with MCS are the ones coming to the forums to complain tbh
This forum is so… so dramatic.
You’ve been trying for FOUR DAYS? And you cannot start a key of your own?
Goodbye…
That poor tank. So you decided a guy who wasn’t geared to handle the difficulty was going to be the tank for the M+? Shame on you. You’re part of the reason tanks are in shortage. Bet the person either deleted or shelved it. And you now you take the high horse whiny position.
Why lie? There’s no feasible way that you are 2100 if you have all dungeons timed at +7 with 2 +9s. You would be much higher.
You have:
2 dungeons timed at +9
2 dungeons timed at +7
3 dungeons timed a +6
and 1 untimed +7 as your highest.
You should work on rounding out your score and bringing your +6s and the untimed +7 up before trying to get into more 8s or 9s.
Do raids still have a week lockout on loot in LFR?
Do they have lockouts for non-LFR?
If they didn’t I would do a lot more. The queen fight is a blast and I want to trivialize OvumMax.
See you are self aware. A lot aren’t lol.
And even more depressing is the amount of people with gear AND score that do not know mechanics.
This applies to heroic raid as well. Ive only been pugging that. Got 3 to 4 bosses down… its just not fun.
Its hard to not have elitist tendencies with all the stuff you see with pugs.
Ah so the issue isn’t that you couldn’t list your key or get it off the ground, it’s that your set standards are so high that nobody “good enough” was willing to run it.
Makes sense which is the problem the other vast majority of people have too. It isn’t that people don’t sign up to their keys, it’s that they want overqualified people signing up to their keys or they stomp their feetsies and cry “nObOdY wAnTs To TaNk AnYmOrE”. You sat on a mists key knowing it’s among the easiest and were hoping an OP group would run/carry you through it.
So if your playtime is that precious then I have another solution for you…list your key and offer to pay a 3kIO tank a token worth of gold to run it. 75% of the gold upfront and the rest at final boss/completion.
I think carry culture in this game is gross and absolutely not needed, but puggers standards are far too high and a lot of you act like content is unbeatable unless you only have people grossly overgeared and experienced carrying it for you so you can deal with the downside of that mentality and playstyle too.
That or do what most sensible people do and find organized groups and mesh with them. It’ll be work on your part and likely you’ll have to prove yourself and run lesser content for others to boost your own social standing (nobody wants to be friends with moochers who only ever want help and never want to help others) but that also goes a big way to solving your issue.
All raids have a weekly lockout.
You can do it more than once outside of the first time but you only get a chance at loot on the first kill.
Thanks for the clarification.
The issue is that OP is low ilvl and low io. Needs to spam 7s and get their ilvl up.
No one wants to carry someone on a key they aren’t qualified for.
Anytime!!!
Have you heard about our lord and savior: Brann Bronzebeard?
i think that this is a great take on the average pug player (like me).
I spent the first few weeks of the expac in delves. and then I went into a zekvir rabbit hole. lol
I spent about a week in the m0 world learning mechanics and routes, reading guides, etc. failling and trying again. it takes me a while to learn the choke points, etc.
so, this was my first real week in the m+ lane. i got all dungeons to +3 so far, half timed, half 2-stars. I feel like I am just getting my bearings (druid pun…)
tonight I will try into the +4 world. my first two attempts wnet down in flames, as in the dps started flaming the healer and everything went down hill.
but I am one of those players who aims for 2k rating and then probably switches toons to do it again. that probably means 5s across the board for each week or something like that. so maybe this week will be my +4 week and next week will be my +5 week.
the current crest system encourages me to stay a +4 to farm crests.
I looked at the raider io season cutoffs. the 0.1% goes up really quickly and then levels off almost as quickly as they eventually become gear-restricted.
the bottom 40% cutoff (which is where I am at the moment), however, is a slow and steady rise. sort of what Vodka was talking about. but that 40% likely won’t reach +8s.
for me, we’ll see how +5s look and go from there.
but pug life will always be the windshield and bug environment.,
glhf…
I don’t think level 10 characters can do Mythic Keystone dungeons.
This is absolutely me. I run with a group of 4 friends. We do m+ every Sunday night for 2-3 hours. It takes us most of the season to hit 2k but we’ve done it for the last few seasons.
Really looking forward to hitting 2k on my mage fire the first time. I tend to do different toons each season.
The pug life is mostly not fun if you are dps. I have a healer I pug occasionally with and it is so easy too get groups. If a key fails, no sweat, in 2 min I can be in a new group.
Ps: I remember the voyage of Kontiki, still have the National Geographic’s somewhere….
