Today I got the virus

No, we can get control of this. Lockdowns will be needed to save lives until there is a majority percentage that are vaccinated.

You can just lie down and gamble with covid if you want, those that take the pandemic seriously will do what it takes to keep people from getting seriously ill and hospitalised.

Um no mass vaccination doesnā€™t mean we should stop lockdowns sorry.

Look at Israel.

Letā€™s just make up a rule that says you can only travel into another country if you undergo strict quarantine to make sure you not infected with anything, as vaccine not 100% vaccine, vaccine is no different to sexual protection, just reduces risk.

Hopefully, this is the dumbest thing I read on the internet today.

Iā€™m 2026 when the omega variant causes the longest lockdown to date, maybe someone will finally just aerosolize it and crop dust the whole damn planet.

Or maybe thatā€™ll get the idiots to wear masks :joy:

There is no cure for cancer.

Iā€™m not sure how thatā€™s a dumb statement, itā€™s fact.

Give it some time, someone at some point will say something even more mind boggling stupid.

The good news is that if you got a breakthrough infection, scientists are now saying that your body will be better prepared to combat it in the future.

Do you not go back and read what you wrote?

Trying to put in little one liners regarding the minimal issues with blood clot incidents, versus the vast majority of perfectly safe administrations given, is feeding into that very dangerous misinformation.

People who do not have the sense or knowledge will take bs tidbits like that, and blow it into ā€œOh, might as well not take any of it to be safeā€. It is information taken out of context that keeps getting passed around, and it needs to be stopped.

If a treatment makes cancer go away (permanently); it has been cured.

if you were one of the ones that thought the virus was fake news, i donā€™t want to see any regrets or complaining, you people need to wake up to reality that this is a real pandemic, and as an ongoing pandemic thatā€™s not through evolving new strains things will be tough for a long time, time to act like adults with the face masks and vaccines for the greater good of mankind, this pandemic is a test for a real pandemic that could kill people in 10s of millions, we have made the failing grade of an -F, if this was a zombie apocalypse the war would end in mere weeks because no one wanted to be told what to do, so suck it up, and deal with your own fate you did to yourself, thatā€™s just more soulstones for me

Itā€™s the whole ā€œtalking pointā€ culture. One liners are catchy and get views and likes, whole articles are boring to read.

No. I was diagnosed with cancer in my throat in September of 2015. It was cured using radiation and chemotherapy and I am now past the 5 year mark of being cancer-free. So yes, cancer is curable. Not fun and I wouldnā€™t wish it on anyone. But it can be cured.

Uh, no, it has not.

Do you not know the difference between a treatment and a cure?

Jesus tapdancing Christā€¦

Thank you. Officially cancer free since January 2016 after being diagnosed in September of 2015.

But to me it was factual, minimal or not, itā€™s still a risk that you could possibly get blood clot from AstraZeneca vaccine, hopefully theyā€™ve improved the vaccine to minimize that risk, but who knows,

If you not going to be upfront with people and let them know the risk, you donā€™t want a situation where government has to end up paying compensation to the family of the patient died from taking vaccine and getting blood clots,

I mean you could say corona is a war and those small amount of people that died from the blood clot did their civic duty, obviously the big pharma will get off scott free and doctors also as they got legal protection from that I heard,

Yes the risk of blood clot from AstraZeneca might be tiny, and small, but the problem is if you protect people from using their own brain and making an informed choice, and weighing up the risks, and people die due to side effect from vaccine, who is responsible for that?

Just something to think about.

I said I knew several survivors from skin cancer and they are all completely clear of it now. So, that isnā€™t a cure?

3 people died due to complications caused by the J&J vaccine.

There have been zero other vaccine related deaths according to the FDA and the CDC.

The number you might see thrown around by conservative media is 6000+ VAERS reports, which is an open database where people can report deaths that might be related to the vaccine. These reports are then investigated by the CDC. Couple of things to note here, a doctor made a report that a vaccine turned him into the literal Hulk from Marvel, (just to prove that reports arenā€™t being weeded out), and these reports are obviously pre-scrutiny.

So short answer, 3.

Iā€™d bet 1g that the federal government will not impose any national lockdown unless a deadlier variant emerges. Because at this point in time, given the availability of vaccines, dying from covid is mostly voluntary (excepting the immuno-compromised).

Vaccines protect an individual. The more people vaccinated, the less people have to be hospitalised from covid. It primes your immune system to deal with the real thing so you donā€™t get hit with the full brunt of it and risk getting long term effects.

Itā€™s really the only way we currently have to stop having to lockdown every time a outbreak occurs and to return to a ā€œcovidā€ normal.
