You could also buy Betamax, which was better than VHS. Oh wait, that didn’t work out to well, did it?
Betamax was the Apple Computers of VHS tapes your making my point for me crappy overpriced product that was out preformed by a better version of itself.
You’re the one saying that non-Apple computers are “better” than Apple computers. Therefore you are comparing non-Apple computers to Betamax.
People don’t repair TVs for two reasons. They are cheap, and they don’t break very often.
Computers, while some can be cheap, break often. It’s nice to be able to pay a fraction of their cost to repair it. Now, when it’s a crApple, it’s almost always expensive. But you can’t fix it.
LOL. Just because no one uses them doesn’t mean they are better. If fact, it usually means the opposite.
This isn’t going to realistically happen. If Apple has 10% of the market, the rest is Windows and Linux… Until Apple starts selling computers for $399 at Walmart, it isn’t putting anyone out of business. And most people do not consider a tablet (i.e. iPad) as a device that is productive.
iPhones were ten times as expensive as feature phones, but that sure didn’t hurt them.
This will never happen. I get that you are a hardcore Mac fanboy, but have some semblance of common sense.
And iPhone isn’t the market leader either. Android phones that can be purchased unlocked for as low as $50 on Amazon are.

It’s funny how the anti-Apple people are dishing out personal insults against Apple users on this thread.

When you make ridiculous statements like that, you have slipped into 100% fanboy mode.
apple has no real work stations
I am confused by this as they have a workstation class computer now - the MacPro - that is just amazing. I have a friend who makes her living on hers.

I know. Any time the word “Apple” appears in a post, these conversations degrade into name calling. I got pulled into such a discussion today, and I regret it. The original question has not been answered yet, although the info I gathered and presented seemed pretty solid.
There are 100 million people running MacOS on Macs right now.
MacOS is below 10% of the total worldwide installed base for computers.
In order for this to matter, someone has to:
-Own a Mac (<10% chance for any computer to be one)
-Play games on a Mac (LOL)
-Play WoW specifically on a Mac
-Have purchased a brand new Mac (That hasn’t even released yet)
So my claim of five users is actually grossly overstating this problem, because it literally can’t exist yet.
Shadowlands is woefully unfinished despite the delay. Do you think they really care whether your future computer is going to be able to run it? No offense, but you literally aren’t worth developing for even if that computer was already released.
Like I said, you draw weird conclusions. Blizzard doesn’t know if it will run because it hasn’t launched and they don’t have the time, manpower, or interest to find out.
Apple for my music software and apps. PC for gaming. Not sure where all this hate is coming from either. It works for you or it doesn’t. Don’t crap on other people’s preferences.
I thought you meant five people who played WoW on Macs, not five people who have the new Apple Silicon Macs (since the number of those is actually zero, which I thought you already knew.) Sorry for the misunderstanding.
The COO of Blizzard announced last week that his PRIME focus was getting Blizzard games to work on mobile processors. Did you notice I said that? Do you agree with Blizzard’s COO that their prime focus is on mobile games, not on Shadowlands? Argue with him, not me.
Don’t crap on other people’s preferences.
Thanks. As for me, I don’t recall dumping on other people’s preferences. In general I defend people’s right to make choices no matter how much I don’t agree with that choice. People can use dying operating systems and CPUs all they want. Good for them.

No one that posts on these forums is going to know until after November 17th. That is when the new Macs ship. Blizzard isn’t going to answer one way or another. They simply don’t do that.
Even if Blizzard bought some of the A14z Mini’s they probably used those for their existing iOS apps and porting them. Not the games. Blizzard has already abandoned Macs with some of their games so it may not be a focus. Being on Mobile doesn’t necessarily include desktop Macs. Even if they use processors based on the same designs.
Edit: Somehow I accidentally deleted this post while responding to something else and forget what it said so I can’t fix it.
I’d love to know where you got your information about how many Mac owners play WoW. And I’d love to know which mobile processors you think the Blizzard CEO was talking about when he said last week that mobile processors were Blizzard’s main focus.

I’d love to know why you can’t separate the Blizzard CEO from the WoW team.
A time-intensive, online-only, multiplayer-near-mandatory game is a poor choice for a mobile game.
The WoW team doesn’t know, shouldn’t care, and likely won’t bother with testing on your new processor until at least August.
