So it doesn’t work for me? Like, I can pick up the quest, but can’t finish it. Trying to click on the character just constantly tells me I need to be closer to interact with him. Like… I’m standing on him. I can’t be closer?

I’ve got the same problem.I got the salve,just can’t apply it.The giant isn’t even there for me any more,not sure why tho.

You need to be underwater to click on him. Don’t know how I got underwater, tho. Maybe it was killing that Living Water next to the Giant.
I tried there but it doesn’t work. I suppose this could be warband related in that I already did this on another character. I redo these quests as a part of the levelling process. So no giant and so he cannot be awakened.
I can accept this to be a once only quest bet if so it shouldn’t just stop working, the quest should be removed.
