why?
i have played both for a really long time. was an alliance main up until the very end of legion. i actually enjoy the alliance allied races more than the horde ones, on average. i still play alliance most days just not the focus of my playtime.

I don’t want to grind out my HoA level, reps just to continue my war story and many other things on a Horde char. Too much work.

I bounce back and forth regularly. I see no problem with it.

Because the Alliance is boring.
Boring races, boring lore, boring zones, boring morality, boring leaders, boring!
The Alliance is just whitebread stock fantasy all around.

I am going to go with this guy’s response as my own. Just so bland. No flavor.
Who plays a fantasy game to play a human?

Exactly. I have an Alliance Priest that I play on occasion but I don’t really spend too much time on her because the Alliance side just generally isn’t as fun for me.

…
you don’t wanna know…
I see people say this all the time and I don’t get it. What’s wrong with playing a human in a fantasy world?
Anyways, to answer the OP I play both factions regularly and bounce between them depending on my mood.

This is the short version. Most Alliance races and cultures are just boring, including their flaws. Let’s take Stormwind for example. Stormwind’s supposedly this great virtuous state and yet Westfall and the Defias Brotherhood exist because of its arrogant and self-interested government. But this is never actually relevant to the plot. Instead, the Wrynn dynasty seems preoccupied with Horde politics and saving the world instead of being held responsible for their actions.
They’re just “We’re the good guys. We have flaws but we never actually have to deal with them.” Meanwhile the Horde is its flaws and held responsible for its mistakes.

is this thread really gonna be every horde saying “the alliance is boring”? -.-

if it makes ya feel better, i will say it depends on how you play it.

Ive played both with long breaks in between. I prefer Horde overall. All my real life friends are currently horde too. No time or reason to roll alliance at this point.
I think this is where the philosophy of “don’t ask questions you don’t want the answer to” comes into play.

i have a ton of fun on my alliance alts. i don’t find it boring at all. i don’t play humans though as i don’t like their animations. but at max level i have a dwarf, worgen, space goat, and nelf. i like them all pretty good.

i didn’t think that it would be most responses. like that’s the only reason? like worgen and space goats don’t exist? lol.
ya, i get what ya mean.
but i will say, i feel more comfortable as a human than other races, use to main a tauren…
few months of weirdness and drama can make a guy change…
the human male hunter animations are 10/10 so i don’t blame you. i keep trying to make a warlock and it just… doesn’t work for me. XD
Neither do I rofl. I still saw the other side until it got too grindy
Only way to see the entire story and boy howdy, you guys don’t really get as much story as we did. :c
They exist but their questing isn’t any better than the rest of the Alliance. It’s the story, not the races, that’s the problem. There’s good bits here and there but, for the most part, it’s just not that interesting.
Whelp that mog still looks way better than it would on a tauren, and I love taurens
