And failing over and over and over… don’t lose faith! We got this. One of these times we will make it to phase 3. lol
It be tough but I really do have faith we will be all AotC soon.

The hardest kill is the first. After that, you get to join better groups.
are they tho? historically people demanding aotc achievement link are leaders that want a carry and bought their achievement pre hand.
and good luck op!
I got AOTC on queen heroic today.
I raid led a PUG and we didnt even use a discord.
You have to set ilvl min to 620 and check if they actually can survive big hits by checking their m+ score as well. Also make sure they cleared brood and silken court otherwise thats a red flag for not doing mechs.
Yeah that is the one thing I haven’t tried yet myself… making my own group. It’s just a little scary and also I’m not ilvl 620 myself so I don’t think I could ask for that. Maybe 615.
Gratz on your kill!!
I’ve done wiped on this boss in many different groups over 90 times so far. I can take the hits as a tank at 616 ilvl but it’s just having everybody stay alive is what seems to be the biggest issue for pugs. Cuz it has to be just perfect.
It’s a tough nut to crack. lol
Look for Saxman pugs. He runs a ton of heroics every tier and helps get people Aotc. I think we killed her in five pulls?
Ooh I never heard of him. Thanks
Unless I would have to pay something for it lol. I don’t do that.
Grats meow!
getting out of P1 cleanly is a good sign of a kill nearing.
ty
Because that’s the hardest part. Getting DPS to not wipe themselves to web blades.
Literally all the hardest bosses of the raids are due to having mechanics DPS need to participate in. Broodtwister with the purple circles to pop eggs, the web lines with silken court, and following the evens/odds and pop timing of P1 queen along with watching where you walk.
The only odd man out is bloodbound. Bloodbound horror is primarily a tank check boss as it requires the two tanks being aware the beams go counterclockwise 90 degrees from the tank up above with aggro. PUGs go super smooth in 1 pull when the tanks know about that one.
I would be surprised if she doesn’t have some potent nerfs in Phase 1 by next week or the week after.
Blizzard is probably gonna nerf hammer web blades at queen, since that’s what DPS are wiping on ruining most of the pulls.
I think they just plan on letting the severed strands do the nerf for them. If you can’t kill the fight with like a 6+ percent damage and healing buff along with all the geared people you should have at that point in the season you probably just shouldn’t get the kill
The problem is too many PUGs always have a player that just doesn’t care and wastes everyone else’s time. They’ll have ilvl 625 gear and you can tell they p2w bought their past clears. They roll into regular PUGs thinking they’re hot stuff and fall over.
Hard to differentiate who p2w bought tokens for omen crafted gear and paid off boosters for a +10 boost versus those who actually played the game.
I’m sure that’s the plan. It will depend on fall off - everything Blizzard does is metrics based. If folks are giving up before the passive buff starts getting collected, they will be proactive. All I know is fights easier than H Queen have been nerfed pretty hard after about the first month, especially in the past two expacs.
The fact it hasn’t been nerfed yet is testament to them designing a very hard but engaging fight - not enough people have stopped trying yet.
Yea. The only real way to check is logs. wcl doesn’t lie even if parses can be low or high for various reasons. I think the strat for pug ansureks is probably a small group + log checking. Guild OP though so I don’t have to worry about that
It’s why my rule of thumb now is to look for people with multiple m+ runs, and not just ONE +10 clear shown by raider io. It’s become a red flag for people to have no m+ score or a m+ score filled with one time clears of 9s and 10s.
There’s a lot of 8/8H nerubar players who don’t know mechanics, and it’s gotten to the point I’d rather take 7/8H with actual m+ data that proves they didn’t just p2w.
The most frustrating aspect is people just leave after 1 pull instead of actually getting the mechs down. So everyone has countless hours wasted going through a hundred different players waiting 95% of the time not playing. Between this and raid lockouts it’s not a stretch to see why m+ is better. It’s not worth the weekly mobile game lootbox to deal with raiding in this state.
