To the people that say "It's just a 20"

Why? Why exist to make peoples weekly 8 runs or highest timed keys as painful as possible by doing stupidly huge pulls?

Because it’s just a 20.

I can understand if the pull in question is some random, off-route, 6x caster CC pack with no DK / Veng in a +20 key. That makes no sense, I wouldn’t even pull that in a +2.

All said, if the pull is a normal routed pull or a 2 stack of mobs that are easy enough to manage (walk away from their mechanics, etc) then absolutely pull it.

Example, I’ll pull the Matron elite with the double witch pack in front of the tree boss in Waycrest. You’ll get one of two outcomes from that. A clean pull with interrupts and CC on the witches, cleave off main target, no issues. Alternatively, you’ll end up with a wiped group because nobody interrupts the witches, the damage is too low, or the healer is incapable of healing through two packs of non-connected mobs.

If someone is solo pulling packs of mobs because they want to single chest time the 20 key for their 6th weekly vault slot, then I’m going to fall asleep. I would much rather be challenged by the content than just steamroll it because it’s undertuned and we outgear it.

it’s a measuring contest of kinds…

I wish this was a “20” problem, although I do understand the magnitude of the problem is higher.
Remember, some people are just horrible individuals that find the lack of social consequences in online as a safe space to lash out. We can not stop that, we can only control how that affects us.

The best tanks pull big, but not too big. A good tank knows the difference.

What difference does this make? Are you going to assault someone IRL for pulling too many mobs if you were in like a gaming cafe or something? Lol

Before the servers got interconnected people could be blacklisted, Reddit has threads of blacklisted players. Then name changes, and interconnected servers took that away. I know that this might shock you, but there are other consequences besides physical violence.

I actually played during the ‘black list’ era. You know what happened to people who were black listed? A couple nerds might have harassed them for a few days, or in the case of a GM emptying a bank and xferring, some insane person would make an alt and spam trade chat to ‘inform’ everyone, which after a bit everyone in trade would just start trolling the person spamming. In-game mail their new GM, etc. No one was ever ‘no longer able to play,’ because of a black list.

No one ever cared.

And? I experienced something totally different. But thanks for the cool story. I appreciate adding nothing to the conversation, and completely missing the point.
