I am here for you. Christmas for many is one of the worst days of the year. we see hear and remember family. and to many family isnt a good thing like myself.
So to those who grew up in messed up homes alone afraid and forgotten.

Just because we’re enjoying Christmas with family, gifts, and warm meals doesn’t mean everyone has it that way who would like it that way. Enjoy what you have, be grateful, and spare a thought or offer a place of comfort for those less fortunate. Good on you OP.

Merry Christmas to you OP and everyone! Christmas is a mixed bag for many of us. Some worse or better depending on standpoint, but one doesn’t need a measuring tape to give out love freely, compassionately, and without judgement.
Take care all, messy has it is, there really still is a reason for this time of year side by side with what Grace comes our way.

A merry Christmas is made possible by not seeing family for me. The last family gathering I reluctantly went to just reminded me of why my mother avoided them for so many years.
Sharing a small amount of DNA with people is no guarantee that common ground can be found, and I don’t need reminding that I’m tenuously connected with a bunch of dead beats.
Hopefully others will have a merry Christmas amongst those people you wouldn’t choose as friends.

Im spending it with my gf family in the day time. Her family was like that and although it is still kinda messed up we do appreciate each other. Its juat my gf, her mom and her brother.
Night time its just gonna be me, my dad, my sister and her husband. My other sister and her husband lives in san francisco but she visits every other year. My mom passed away from cancer almost 4 years ago. It has gotten easier in the sense that we still try to enjoy ourselves cause thats what she liked about the holidays

Merry Christmas to OP and everyone. Holidays are hard for a lot of people. My heart goes out to them. I lost my sister in 2021 and she was the Christmas person in the family. She is the one that started all our traditions. Holidays suck when you are grieving. Just be a little kinder to everyone. Enjoy those around you.
