How does the ground taste after the boss kills you instantly?
I wish all dps that pull before the tank, a nice long dirt nap.
Nah what’s worse is DPS who taunt off tanks. I had a pally in time walking the other day taunting things off me and pulling them away.
Told them to stop, healer let them die twice, and they still didn’t get it.
At that point it’s a kick.
Exactly. Didn’t want to but I don’t have time for someone dragging the mobs away from me.
u pull u tank
Doubley ironic since Im a hunter, I don’t do this on purpose. Ever. Ive been guilty of tab target issue. But Im never in that type of hurry.
Jokes on you when i can tank it as a DPS ;]
Meh, go for it. It lets me instantly know the pace the group wants and which direction to head
Oh trust me I won’t peel until you die. Good luck.
While leveling and in TW and anniversary stuff, i can tank as a dps. There is no dying
Me pulling as a healer:
K, bye poutypants. I’d rather burn cds on dps who rip off me than stare at the walls for five minutes.
Im not a fan of the “You pull it, you tank it.” I think that its a mindset that sabotages runs and lends itself to the idea of god complexs.
If you are a tank, picking up and holding threate on mobs is part of the playstyle/job, its like dps refusing to dps or healers refusing to heal unless the group mets thier demands (in this case, tanks pulling).
There are many good times dps may pull for tanks, understanding when its good vs when its bad is part of being a team and working together. Refusing to participate in a pull simply becuase you werent the first one to hit the mobs isnt working as a team, and does nothing that leads to the desired outcome of completing the dungeon.
I think the DPS pulling for their tanks might be the source of that sabotage.
Don’t care. Learn patience. Don’t act surprised I’m going to let you eat the consequences of your actions.
I agree, no dps should pull, and at the same time no tank should pull less than necesary or slower than necesary.
Usually unless the dps is a troll if it start pulling it is becouse the tank is not doing hes job.
But that is not an excuse. I usualy dont say a word and just leave
depends on the context, obviously, but if youre pulling for the tank an its causing the healer to struggle and you refuse to stop, I’ll be first one to vote to kick you
I only pull if I know I can stay alive long enough for the tank to remember they’re in a dungeon and not a nature park.
That said, it’s rare, and usually just grabbing the next 3 or fewer mob pack because the tank grabbed 2 trivial mobs and stopped with no one taking any damage. No one wants to pop CDs on 2 mobs.
As an afflock, I start throwing dots on once the tank engages, but a few dungeons recently had me end up facetanking some of the time anyway. It takes a while for me to get going, plenty long enough for a tank to build aggro, but my DPS kept overwhelming the tank’s threat gen anyway. I’m not well geared yet, but I guess neither was the tank.
lol c’mon man. I’m undead!
The inside of my mouth always tastes like the ground. lol.
