To subvert or not to subvert

It’s like this guy has never read a history book outside the Western bubble. You are not immune to propaganda, Erevien.

But we’ve clearly won this conversation so can we move on and get back to WoW?

America is a failing capitalist state.

They will just raise the deficit again and move on. Like it had been all the time the past 400ish years since its founding.

I wish, but this thread has been beaten like a dead horse. Idk what else to say.

You ever ate a whole white castle order up?

That happened years ago. The rich just keep getting richer and the rest of us are paying for the mistakes of our government

Not sure what the answer is, but there is a middle ground between both extremes

By the way here’s a list of failing countries that rely on capitalism. I had to remove the citation links:

Examples of Failing States with Capitalist Systems

  1. Haiti:
  • Challenges: Haiti faces severe political instability, economic hardships, and social unrest. Despite adopting market-oriented reforms, the country suffers from chronic poverty, weak institutions, and frequent natural disasters that exacerbate its fragile state.

  1. Somalia:
  • Challenges: Somalia’s capitalist ventures are overshadowed by persistent civil conflict, terrorism, and lack of effective governance. The country’s informal economy thrives amid chaos, but formal market structures and state functions are weak.

  1. Yemen:
  • Challenges: Yemen’s adoption of market reforms has been derailed by ongoing civil war, humanitarian crises, and political fragmentation. The conflict has devastated the economy and infrastructure, leading to widespread suffering.

  1. Venezuela:
  • Challenges: Despite having significant oil wealth and periods of market-oriented policies, Venezuela is grappling with hyperinflation, political turmoil, and severe shortages of basic goods. Government mismanagement and economic missteps have led to a humanitarian crisis.

  1. South Sudan:
  • Challenges: South Sudan, the world’s newest country, faces severe challenges including ongoing conflict, economic instability, and humanitarian crises. The reliance on oil revenue and lack of diversified economic activity hinder its development.

  1. Zimbabwe:
  • Challenges: Zimbabwe’s economic struggles include hyperinflation, unemployment, and political instability. Market reforms have often been inconsistent, and the country has faced severe economic mismanagement and corruption issues.

Conclusion

While these countries have adopted capitalist or market-oriented policies to varying degrees, their severe challenges in governance, political stability, and economic management have contributed to their status as failing or fragile states. The intersection of market economies with weak institutions and ongoing conflicts highlights the complexity of achieving stability and prosperity.

And before you blame the failures of these countries on conflict and outside influences: you’re proving my point. It’s called Imperialism.

Was overtaken by religious lunatics exploiting the faith to surpress daily life.

How is a tsunami and earthquake the fault of capitalism?

Was actually quite doing fine til Saudi Arabia bombed them to bits.

The oil price collapsed making their petro backed economy useless.

I have no insight here so I will not give an opinion.

Last time America did real imperialism Mexico lost half their territory.

And before you blame the failures of these countries on conflict and outside influences: you’re proving my point. It’s called Imperialism and neo-colonialism

Point is, you claimed there were no failing capitalist state, while there are failed socialist ones. I have directly proved you wrong and you can’t argue against it.

HOW IS A NATURAL DISASTER THE FAULT OF THE USA.

Jeez its not that hard.

Yemen was under the thumb of Saudi Arabia almost since it’s founding. The Great People’s Democratic Republic of Yemen, the only Marxist state in the middle east, and by far the best country there, was an exception to that. The fall of the USSR destroyed a lot of nations.

Btw, the fall was undemocratic and against the referendum.

I never said it was?

But if the country wasn’t having its resources siphoned by foreign interests and historical exploitation, then maybe they could’ve recovered from the natural disaster better.

You have nothing Erevien. You implied there are no failed capitalist states while there are many failed socialist ones. I have disproven your argument. It is a house of cards built ontop of a foundation of matchsticks. And I set fire to it.

Capitalist countries fail too. That is the point. You can not argue this fact.

The American government and military have this nasty habit, to this day, or sticking its nose where it doesn’t belong.

We’re always in other countries business, even when it doesn’t concern us
