I would have realm transferred the day I saw a 4hr queue… This is only pre patch, it’s going to get a whole lot worse when WOTLK is officially released.
No it was not. It was busy, never had a queue and was never crowded like it is now.
Grobb was a high pop realm back when I rolled my rogue at the start of TBC, let alone 2 weeks ago
My game time didn’t come with a 4 hour queue though.
Reported for trolling as I rolled on Benediction on day 1.
Then you didn’t roll it because it was a mega server. Why are you feeling called out?
Ignoring the fact that you chose one specific part of my post to be outraged over after I literally bent over backwards to show my support to you…are you seriously upset because I am calling out the people directly responsible for your queue times?
Benediction was not a mega server, it was released a little later after classic launch to alleviate server populations. More trolling and more reporting.
Transfer or stop paying sub and teach em a lesson.
Having a civil discussion is not trolling. If you were on Bene day one then you didn’t roll it because it was a mega server. It did become a mega server though. Now people that rolled it because it was the most populated are upset because of a queue.
I’m trying to talk to you like a reasonable human being but it seems like you only want to reply with “OMGERDZ TROLLOLOLO REPORT” which makes you the troll in this situation.
If you legit rolled on bene day one and are stuck in a queue im sorry for you. I’m not going to flip tables over for you though no matter how hard you try to threaten me.
No, there’s too many ppl on these servers. The max capacity of concurrent players is about 15k, and yet there’s another 15k in queue.
Now, part of the problem is people cheating and not logging off, and using remote software to sit in queue all day. But the servers are just too big.
There’s no magic bullet to fix this… People need to transfer off. There’s a literal megaserver sitting in the queue ffs! If just 15% of grob and bene went to sulf, it would be maxed.
What about the people who just paid to move off of a dead server to a more populated one?
What would you tell them? There’s no way in hell I’ll be server swapping again unless it came with a FREE transfer token I could use at a time of my choosing to the server of my choosing.
Blizz allowed it to happen, it’s 100% on them.
Had a 6hr Que today. Logged in at 5PM got in game around 11. I slept for the first half but the 2nd part was really annoying just waiting to play on my day off. Not being able to play after work either is annoying. You have to play early before Que and never log out which is a terrible business model for something that is supposed to be entertainment.
It’s Blizz job to satisfy their customer for the money we pay. We pay a premium service then have to wait for hours every day to enjoy it. Imagine if Netflix made you wait 5 hours to watch a movie after paying for it? Same applies here.
Blizz please fix the servers!
grobb was a high pop realm 2 weeks ago.
The thing about this is you weren’t denied access to the game. Your server had a queue but you could of continued playing on any other server. This is how Blizzard views the situation and its actually in the EULA when you first start your account. Sure it sucks that you didn’t get to play but blizzard isn’t going to go out of their way to fix this issue mostly because it is a player created one.
I know it sucks to hear and you will probably rage on me for telling you but its the fact of the matter.
We arent being difficult to be jerks. We are being difficult because many of us played on perfectly healthy servers that were deemed “dead” because sweaty players couldn’t find a group for every need they had at all times of the day.
Herod died for no reason
Sulfuras died for no reason
Fairbanks died for no reason
Netherwind died for no reason
Earthfury died for no reason
Bigglesworth died for no reason
Thunderfury died for no reason
Kromcrush died for no reason
Skeram died for no reason
Blaumeux died for no reason
Tens of thousands of people paid $25 and didnt spread out nearly well enough.
Should Blizzard have locked Faerlina, Whitemane, Grobbulus, & Benediction many months ago? Absolutely. But its too late for that now.
Players 100% created this issue. Blizzard 100% enabled it. Players have the power to solve it. Gather the GMs on your server. Get guilds to sign on to leaving and pick a free xfer server, and make the choice and go.
You had absolutely no problem killing your server, and causing people to leave their communities and pay hundreds to xfer over their accounts. Maybe make some amends to those wrongs and start over somewhere new.
If only 50% the 40k+ people stuck in queues all went to a new server together, it would be a massive success of a server. Lets go. Make it happen.
Wrong playing on another server is not playing the game. I have a guild and friends. I already Free transfered once and ditched a server Blizz mismanaged. I’m not doing it again ruining my gaming experience. I shouldn’t have to make right what they messed up yet again!!!
Offering FREE transfers is insulting!! It shows their complete incompetence to handle customer issues and communicate about it. Blizz is just losing money on this and hurting yet another game with poor management.
These are the facts!
Then they are a bad company for not fixing the problems they 100% caused. This is their problem they had the data and did nothing in the months before this to fix servers.
I explained the facts, now you know. The current Ques is unacceptable business practices for a premium service. They should refund Subs for anyone waiting in Que if they were a good company. Then work on coming up with actual solutions to their server problems.
All blizzard really had to do was make Mega servers with layers, that’s it.
Do you guys just not take medicine and blame the doctor when you dont get better?
Transfer off or start a new toon and quit being such winey babies. If youre gonna stay then enjoy your 6 hour queues and stop complaining.
It’s worth mentioning that the subject of layering is not related to this issue. Layers are automatically created or collapsed based on the number of players who are outside of instanced content, and the layering configuration is exactly the same on all WoW Classic realms. Lately, Firemaw has consistently needed 4 layers to accommodate all players who are not in instanced content. Smaller realms have fewer layers, but this is related to the number of players congregating outside instances, not the total number of concurrent players the realm can serve. Adding more layers would not increase the total number of players allowed on a realm at the same time. That maximum is bounded by the limitations of hardware.
