To One Faction players

Aka those that only played one faction, does the changes made to allow cross-faction guilds, dungeons and raids (guess may count realms as well) made you consider making characters from the other faction?

I personally have, recently having made an Undead DK, Shaman Orc and Mage Belf, with a potential Lock Vulpera (once i unlock them) in the future.

yeah, I’ve been holding off on making the 4 classes that perform best in pvp with shadowmeld

Not at all. If anything it removes any incentive to do so. Never been easier to be a single faction player.

I can invite Alliance and then forget to heal them as much as I want.

Good lord no, I’m not making some stinky Horde character.

No. Figuring out stuff on thr Horde side is more aggravation than i need. If i get 2 hours a night im lucky.

no - i never want stormwind to be hostile.

I have always done what is commonly referred to as “Mirror gaming”. I want to see both sides of the Lore, but cannot bring myself to play other classes. So here is my lineup:

Alliance:
Worgen Druid - Guardian
Earthen - Prot Pally
Mechagnome - Arcane Mage
Gnome - Sub Rogue
Dark Iron - Resto Shammy

Horde:
HM Tauren Druid - Guardian
Belf - Prot Pally
Vulpera - Arcane Mage
Vulpera - Sub Rogue
Vulpera - Resto Shaman

Both sides for each are set up identically. Same mounts, action bars, interface, addons, everything. Then no matter which side I play, or which character, I have the exact same setup on Horde that I have memorized from primarily playing Alliance.

nah, i dont have problems playing with the other faction but i adore the horde since i saw it since i can play the fantasy of being and orc, troll, goblin, etc

races which always are portraited as the bad guys but clearly can be good too

to play as a human, elf, or other aliance races there are way too much options

also the Alliance solves evertthing with the power of friendship so is impossible taking the lore serious

the only stinky thing about us is the freaking spikes on everything and red everywhere you look. We actually smell pretty nice (most of the time).

If anything it’s completely disincentivized me from playing Alliance. I tried rolling one on my main realm and there was also no one in Stormwind. I did roll an Eredar Warlock and Worgen DK on my friends server in an attempt at playing classes with an edge to make up for how boring I feel Ally is, we’ll see how that goes. I played the Worgen starting quest in Cata and decided Gilnean’s are awesome in general outside of being kickass werewolves. I need to unlock KT also, the drust Druid forms are sick. Realizing I really only dislike Stormwind humans for how boring they are.

Yeah Worgen definitely have one of the better starting zones.

If you’re taking suggestions, and because you already know how to mog around beast helms, I highly recommend Tauren anything.

I propose a 5th war

Not really. It would take a lot to overcome my hate for how horde cities are designed and actually play a horde toon

I have 12 Alliance and 11 horde characters on 2 accounts and about 5 realms.

Just doing Daily quests to level them all up.

nope.

Not really. Ive been playing since mid BC and have been Horde for nearly all of that. There was a short period during Cata where I went Alliance to join a real-life friend but moved back after he quit the game. The only other time Ive played any Alliance toons was during BFA so I could get those achievements for playing both sides of the story. To me the Horde are my home.

ive made a few dwarves. thats about as far as i can go. lol.

I tried, but couldnt bring myself to do it. The Alliance cities are just, I don’t know, I can’t put my finger on it. Not my home?

Jeez, I used to run through those places back in TBC and wotlk with up to 80 people to raid all them cities for achieves. I burned Teldrassil down to the ground. I’ve committed countless atrocities against the Alliance in my 17 years of playing.

It just don’t feel right.

I also just can’t stand the aesthetics. I like mud and spikes. I like totems and ropes. I like Naxxramas-esque sewer cities. I like tribal Troll islands. And the one medieval city I think looks the best is actually home to the Blood Elves.

Stormwind reminds me of a place in the dark ages people used to throw s*** in the river and P**s in the streets.

All of that helps but for me the lack of cross-faction queued content is a deal breaker. Not being able to do stuff like timewalking, heroics or LFR with friends just kills it. Since they’re the only thing that makes that stuff actually fun.

If Blizzard removes that limitation in the future then I’ll definitely play characters on both factions.
