That’s fair
Lol sorry I just didn’t wanna drop the convo cuz we’re buds and that’d be rude XD
sylvanas passed? my queen.
She kept her oath, that alone is worthy of respect. Even when things looked bad she didn’t run away from her duty.
I also extend my condolences. This is rather shocking.
Hopefully he is better than that of his great-uncle Edward VIII - though, I hope that he follows VIII’s footsteps and abdicates so that William can step in.
Well, me and the handful of family members over there do, as Charles never really had much notion to care for Travelers like Elizabeth, William and Herry do.
so who’s throne is it now?
I shall raise a cup of tea in her honor.
Charles, he’s technically already king. But he hasn’t decided on his regal name yet. Speculation is he’ll avoid Charles III due to the issues with Charles I and II.
What does the royal family do again?
Basically they are the figurehead of England and Great Britain though they hold no real authority.
Here’s a nice overview:
Basically they act as a check valve in the UK government. They have (some) power and promise to never use it.
This of us who have been shaped by her reign. Which is more than you may realize.
There must always be
thunder clap
a lich queen
Oh man, that’s a sweet gig. Get the immense wealth, mansion, and influence, but not be expected to do anything. And all you gotta do to qualify is be born to the right parents.
Not quite, you have to be a symbol which is much much harder. You have to be perfect most of the time, inspire the people that work for the crown and the citizenry and be a rallying point. It’s actually incredibly high pressure. So high pressure that Harry sort of failed out of being a prince in a sense. Charles has stumbled too, so it will be interesting to see if he’s able to keep it together.
It also means you have to be above it all, you can’t take sides. You have to play fair arbiter in many cases because that is something the monarch still has to do when it comes to parliament.
96 years old.
Dang, that’s pretty good. Still. Rest In Peace.
It’s been announced that he chose Charles III.
They tried to hold us down… but we ARE allies now, and that counts for something. Condolences.
Third time’s the charm then? I’m quite surprised he didn’t go with George.
