Have had a high level hunter not learn pack because it didn’t personally benefit him.
warlock didn’t even bother buying rank 1 of recklessness
anyone else have any experiences with people being tight?

Yea…one time…there was this guy…he still hasnt bought explosive trap…oh yea…its me.
Nice name to OP content ratio
had a 60 hunter in partial MC gear in our lbrs last night.
who had not trained any traps but explosive.
I train most everything that can come in handy, but don’t use the stuff I personally never will as long as I can tell. As a resto that levels as cat, I learn all my healing spells, all my cat spells, and enough bear spells to emergency tank if SHTF.
I haven’t bothered to buy it because Feign Death is buggy and traps are annoying to use midcombat in Vanilla.
Sometimes I’ll drop combat, sometimes I never do.

I know a lot of hunters they don’t buy any traps until level 50’s and then some don’t until max level. Traps aren’t needed to level up, yes they are nice to have but when your leveling up your main gold is hard to come by until end game where farming is very easy. A lot of classes have skills you don’t need while leveling up , even in Dungeons. It’s just a waste of gold early on
Welcome to Classic.
Yep. Mages dont learn portals because they already have teleport.
Makes sense.
When gold is scarce, you have to be sensible about how you spend it. Many abilities aren’t necessary as you’re leveling up.
You can always go back and pick them up when you have more gold.
Of course, anyone who wants me to purchase an ability I can’t afford, is welcome to pay for it
People being tight upfront isn’t surprising although a warlock or paladin being tight seems a bit odd considering they get to save 100G.
There’s a good chunk I haven’t bought yet, but I am sort of picking them up as they get relatively cheaper. It’s like I go learn new stuff, and then pick up some old.
By the time you get to 60 though I’d imagine getting all your spells shouldn’t be that difficult.
I won’t lie, I have a full page of unlearned abilities right now. Mongoose bite, every rank past 2 of Raptor Strike, lots of tracking skills, scorpid sting, etc.
I’ll buy them later.
Or not.
Part of the fun of leveling in classic is picking and choosing which spells will benefit you most. I didn’t buy most of my niche spells till 60.
Another warlock asked me for help last night in Jadenar to kill the NPC warlock and his two succys.
“I’ll banish left, you banish right”
“I don’t have that”

I just bought aspect of the pack yesterday…
Oh, I’m pretty tight as well.
“That’s what she said”
Had a warlock yesterday in BFD who hadn’t learnt underwater breathing. Made the underwater parts of that instance really, really annoying.
Had a pally that didn’t learn rez because he didn’t plan to let people die
