To Everyone that complains about the Vault

WELCOME TO THE CASINO… Please deposit your hard earned time and effort.

Blizzard does not care nor do they respect your time…and it’s technically kind of like a paid form of gambling and kids can get in on it too…

This is identical and functions exactly like a slot machine from Las Vegas. Minus the lever.

Just remember you are at the Casino every-time you go up to it…fun huh…

I quit playing towards the end of Season 1 of DF…because of this. It’s like I maxed out my 8 M+ runs of +22 keys or higher every week towards the end of the season and I finally got fed up with playing the Casino game vs my time being spent on this game.

Good thing I don’t play for vault and instead just enjoy the content that happens to fill it.

That’s more the parents fault than blizzs

Back in my day you dumped all your gold and free time in consumables, showed up to raid every week, got the clear with your guild, went back to reclear previous tier for officer alts, and in two months you would get some bracers.

I don’t know where I’m going with this, I’m just working through things.

Imagine being friends with someone whom is just a grumpy QQ every Tuesday’s reset.

When a slot-machine dings jackpot you win stuff you want. Money.

If we’re comparing the Vault to a slot-machine then it would be like the Slot machine taking a picture of your shoes and then giving you a new pair of the shoes you’re wearing as a prize.

It really isn’t that difficult for Blizzard to prevent this.

If anything, the Vault is Blizz respecting your time much more than they used to. Back in my day (old man talk), there was no guaranteed piece of gear each week, let alone up to 9 options of which item you get. We had to win the rolls or get nothing.

What a slap in the face!

You’re paying for and playing the game as they designed it. Sounds to me like you’re not respecting your own time :dracthyr_love_animated:

Yet here you are complaining about it still.

I agree with you. The vault is a bonus at the end of the week. If you treat it as such, you’ll be much happier. Run your mythics til you get your BiS, clear the raid and hope for a drop…… just remember it’s supposed to be fun.

and the fact that people were clearing +20’s in mostly season 2 gear, clearing heroic raid in mostly season 2 gear, clearing all world / public content in mostly season 2 gear.

this means that no, you don’t need myth track and BiS 2 weeks into the season to “play the game.”

No. This is completely wrong. People think they deserve the loot. The reality is people need to accept on life you don’t always get what you want. Stop complaining and continue your life.

It’s perfectly fine to complain. The vault is a guarantee of loot. It’s fine for people to gripe about a bad luck haul especially when half your vault is the same item slot.

Blizzard could make it to where the same armor type if there’s already a tier piece of that in vault or on you toon wouldn’t be in vault unless it’s higher ilvl

Or to solve that all together they can grant currency and let players pick an item off a vendor which they did in BFA and Shadowlands.

When you need trinkets and week after week they don’t drop and the vault is equally unhelpful it gets annoying and people need to vent frustrations at feeling their time was wasted.

You act as if that’s wrong and I can say with 99% certainty you have done so plenty in your own life, you’re not special in this.
People complain, please join us on normal human behavior and get off that high horse that doesn’t exist. You’re not a perfect beacon of morality or emotional calm, as you complaining about complaining shows.

Don’t try to control others feelings. People are justified in a gripe, it helps alleviate those emotions by speaking them…

TLDR. Do you psychology bro?

Imho, systems with rng like the vault are intrinsic to RPGs, especially online rpgs. Just like you cant get rid of dice rolls in tabletop rpgs without compromising what it is, rng has to be present in WoW. Now could there be less rng, less grind?, of course yes. But unfortunately the population will not be able to agree on where the line should be drawn so its up to the devs to set it. The trick is not upsetting everyone with whatever their decision is.

you can complain. but that doesnt entitle someone to get what they want. its life

It’s just a bonus, though. You do content, you get a guarantee big piece at the end of the week.

In the past we’d just gear normally as we do now, and it was slower to boot.

Thus my confusion.

No one’s saying they are owed or entitled to anything for the most part they are just venting and explaining what they had rather preferred.

But I get the feelings on it you expressed. Many do act as such, I won’t deny that.

The problem is when dungeons do award unique BIS pieces of loot like trinkets and divergent / timestrike weapons, and the vault does become the only source of them at max ilvl.

You can target stuff by repeatedly running it and then upgrading with crests. :dracthyr_yay_animated: It’s not as high, but it’s more than enough to do basically whatever you want for a long time, and the season lasts 6 months, which is a lot of vaults.

Loot is amazing right now. The last thing is bad luck protection on final itemization. Maybe every x.x.5 patch they should start releasing vault dinars like they’re upping catalyst to weekly.
