To Be Fresh or Not To Be Fresh That is the Question

So does Blizz release fresh servers for the pre-patch or when TBC actually launches? There is no way they can get around not launching fresh servers if what they say is true they want their customers/fans to enjoy the game (i.e the dreaded BOOST).
So when they announced TBC was going to come out it brought out a much needed boost to WoW in terms of bringing back players to the game, subs, etc… don’t believe it, just look at the pop of the servers for up to a month after they announced it I being one of them. But upon reaching lvl 60 there were absolutely 0 ppl running dungeons (Strat, UBRS, BWL, MC) in order to progress my character in terms of power, so I don’t get owned in BGs, as everyone if they were doing raid was doing Ony and maybe some AQ thats it. Prices are so inflated and the economy so out of whack for a fresh ppl coming back its GG which just gives WoW just a bad feel.
So when TBC does go live and quite a few ppl carry over all the gold they have 100k plus what enjoyment is there when they can buy whatever they want and get that much further ahead of all the returning ppl. Again you can blame Blizz in part to them allowing all the BOTs to remain in the game and not doing their due diligence in getting rid of them. They just keep farming that gold selling to ppl while Blizz stands idly by this is a major contributor to the economies being so outta whack.
Now I know there are going to be the nay sayers saying thats not what you want or the community and I can tell you right now you all are completely wrong. Let Blizz open up new servers and just see what the population will be HIGH/FULL no doubt. There are numerous dated games that do this and they make tons of $$$ when they roll out new servers either from subs, bags, potions, etc that they sell and the servers are packed.
There are quite a few of us that think TBC is the best expansion blizz has ever released and it would be a shame not to enjoy it like we did way back when it first came out.

Almost certainly neither. They’ll layer the current servers and call it good.

Couchy

Neither. They said they’d consider it AFTER the game has launched. Maybe.

And that will ensure the server is dead. If its not done before launch, then it will never succeed period. Achieving critical mass early is key to any new server, and one of the best times to do so is as early as you can while content is hot.

The only other good time is well after the life span of the content is dead and people want to reroll fresh for fun. But as we can see from classic, with them releasing tbc, that critical mass of potential rerolls will be moving onto tbc. We can expect the same thing to happen with tbc rolling into wraith.

So its early or never

Then never I guess.

Of course there is. They just don’t do this feature that some players have requested.

I do not expect “fresh servers”. Blizzard hasn’t done that in 16 years. Why would they do it now?

They never said “We will give EACH fan whatever features they want.”

If you pay $15/mo, but you require a $20,000 unique server with some exact set of rules that YOU want…I’d go with losing $15. It’s cheaper.
