To be fair, you all should've seen this coming

This is just about as Classic of an experience as Blizzard could’ve possibly given us. Literally every single time an expansion is released, or even when there’s a major prepatch or something, the game breaks and we have to wait in queues. And literally every single time people act like this is some sort of surprise.

In Blizzard’s defense, the servers can only handle so much stress – Even when they have the combined strength of the enormous server list in modern WoW, everything still breaks when people flood in. It’s just a fact of life and there’s not much that can be done.

I know you’re disappointed, but you’re lying to us and more importantly, yourself if you say that this is going to change the fact that you’re going to be playing and enjoying the hell out of the game the instant you’re able to.

People said they wanted no changes!
This is exactly what it was like back in the day.

Within 20 minutes, everything was running smoothly. Apparently people can’t even be satisfied with massive improvement.

What? No it wasn’t. I was having issues for over 45 minutes before being able to log in. Just because you got in within 20 minutes doesn’t mean everyone else was…

Yeah, it’s pretty hilarious.

I swear, the majority of the people on the forums are basically like crack addicts. As soon as they can get a hit, they’re instantly jaded, but the moment it becomes unavailable for A SINGLE SECOND, they start screeching like a Youtube-obsessed toddler who had their tablet taken away.

I got in immediately, but it seemed smooth by the 20 minute mark.

I mean, it largely depends on what realm you’re trying to roll on. Some will be much harder to get into than others either because of the queue or because of the server instability caused by the high population.

It wasn’t.

It sucks how it all went down. I feel kind of bad for the people who didn’t get their names but I shouldn’t really be depending on just one name.

But that’s just me.

lucky everyone is going herod so the streamer sever will be not too bad.

Yeah I got right in too.

Albeit right in to the wrong server, but still.

Did anyone else notice the enter world button said ready in 335 hours and think holy :poop: but then do the math?

If it were truly authentic, the servers would still be crapping out and wouldn’t stop for the next week at least.

That was so nerve wracking and disappointing, but it was fun and exciting too! I didn’t get my name, but I had a blast trying! I’ll enjoy the person I created and remember the crazy fun time I had making her!

If I go to Burger King and the tables are all dirty, am I surprised? No.

Does this mean it’s OK for Burger King to have dirty tables and I should stop complaining? No.

Lol if these are the posts complaining about name reservations I cant wait for the ones from people complaining about sitting in queues for hours when its actually out saying Blizzard sucks etc.

They had to put the forums in read only mode because we were slamming them too. Lol.
So either blizz’s hamsters are not prepared or there’s a tidal wave of people about to slam these 13 servers. Maybe a bit of both. We’ll know soon!

Alright genius, how exactly do you think the proverbial tables could’ve been cleaned in this situation? Like I said, it doesn’t really matter how many servers the game has, they ALL crash when people flood them. What, exactly should Blizzard have done?

It was glorious. Worth the wait!

This was disappointing because many people were on time but met with locked servers and then booted for 10 minutes until met with 10k queue.
