This is just about as Classic of an experience as Blizzard could’ve possibly given us. Literally every single time an expansion is released, or even when there’s a major prepatch or something, the game breaks and we have to wait in queues. And literally every single time people act like this is some sort of surprise.
In Blizzard’s defense, the servers can only handle so much stress – Even when they have the combined strength of the enormous server list in modern WoW, everything still breaks when people flood in. It’s just a fact of life and there’s not much that can be done.
I know you’re disappointed, but you’re lying to us and more importantly, yourself if you say that this is going to change the fact that you’re going to be playing and enjoying the hell out of the game the instant you’re able to.
What? No it wasn’t. I was having issues for over 45 minutes before being able to log in. Just because you got in within 20 minutes doesn’t mean everyone else was…
I swear, the majority of the people on the forums are basically like crack addicts. As soon as they can get a hit, they’re instantly jaded, but the moment it becomes unavailable for A SINGLE SECOND, they start screeching like a Youtube-obsessed toddler who had their tablet taken away.
I mean, it largely depends on what realm you’re trying to roll on. Some will be much harder to get into than others either because of the queue or because of the server instability caused by the high population.
That was so nerve wracking and disappointing, but it was fun and exciting too! I didn’t get my name, but I had a blast trying! I’ll enjoy the person I created and remember the crazy fun time I had making her!
Lol if these are the posts complaining about name reservations I cant wait for the ones from people complaining about sitting in queues for hours when its actually out saying Blizzard sucks etc.
They had to put the forums in read only mode because we were slamming them too. Lol.
So either blizz’s hamsters are not prepared or there’s a tidal wave of people about to slam these 13 servers. Maybe a bit of both. We’ll know soon!
Alright genius, how exactly do you think the proverbial tables could’ve been cleaned in this situation? Like I said, it doesn’t really matter how many servers the game has, they ALL crash when people flood them. What, exactly should Blizzard have done?
