To Alliance B*tching About Faction Balance

So I’ve seen a lot of Alliance players complaining saying that Alliance are outnumbered. Especially Asmongold, who claims every FP is camped by 40 man Horde raids (laughably wrong, btw).

Y’all are the more populated faction, 55 to 45. Maybe take the effort you’re putting into complaining into becoming better at PvP?

https://wowclassicpopulation.com/characters?realm=4408_Faerlina

Hard to become better at PvP when my character on Faerlina is ~20, and getting ganked by roaming packs of level 60s.

Speaking of which, weren’t you in Redridge earlier running around with a level 60 Undead priest?

Funny way to talk about staysafe

Claiming Faerlina is an unbalanced realm overall or at end game is just demonstrably not true. And laughably easy to counter. This is the same nonsense we see from Alliance players in retail and the chief reason why we have PVE hug-boxes for servers now instead of what we had in Classic.

Yeah this is nonsense peddled by Horde gankers who don’t want to admit they are only gankers because Horde out in the world outnumber Alliance by at least 3:1.

Any of these third-party census addons and methods are inherently inaccurate. The only one who could definitively state population statistics is Blizzard.

sees evidence proving opinion wrong

That evidence is clearly wrong, and my anecdotal opinion is clearly right! Anyone who says otherwise is [insert buzzword insult here]!

It is all a matter of perspective.

I can’t land in burning steppes without getting ganked by a team of alliance rogues. Un’goro has calmed a bit.

Winterspring is almost always controlled by a raid of alliance players.

BRM is about 50/50 on whether it is controlled by horde or alliance - especially at the bottom of the chain. Yesterday evening the entrance to UBRS/LBRS was owned by alliance as at least for the hour or so I was trying to get in.

So all of the evidence is anecdotal at best.

I can tell you that the grass always seems greener on the other side.

I know we say “no changes” … but I am still an advocate for reducing honor or removing it entirely for kills on anyone either not your current level or current levle ±3,5,7 … not the 11 it is today.

It won’t fix the problem - but it will certainly not “encourage” the free HK you get from levelers, which is the most time-efficient thing to do atm. BG’s will help alleviate this too (so next week).

Orc Sl lock telling people gitgud at pvp, could you use any bigger crutches lmfao

I’m SM/Ruin, nice assumption, though.

Here’s my anecdote. Rerolled Horde (undead mage). Level 35. I haven’t been killed in PVP yet. I had one rogue in Arathi stealth and sap me then leave for some reason. I guess to avoid getting PVPed? But he was 8 levels higher. I had a mage 1 level below me attack me in Hillsbrad. And that’s it.

I’ve also done significant questing in AV, TN, Stonetalon and Hillsbrad so it’s not like I haven’t been in contested zones.

Most of the zones you listed are pretty deep in horde territory and not likely areas for you to get ganked in.

Wait until you hit STV or worse yet hit the 49-54 band which is prime time gank levels.

Edit: if you don’t feel like waiting - go try Ashenvale or Badlands.

So in essence, a Nightfall build? How’s that working out for you tater tot?

AV = Ashenvale. I did the Warsong Supplies and a bunch of other quests there.

TN, or at least Shimmering Flats, has a mix of Alliance and Horde. It’s just as accessible for both from Gadgetzan.

I’m not yet at the Badlands level range. We’ll see how that goes. I actually expect it’ll be fine.

As for STV, every time I went to the Rebel Camp it had a group of Horde (including at least 1 60) camping it. On my Ally toons I could only do hand ins by waiting for someone else to go there, get attacked, then rush in, do the hand in and die.

the alliance botting honor in badlands seems to be doing ok

Man you Horde just saltier than two months ago, even. So inspiring, lol. You guys wont stop complaining until the server is empty.

Alliance is not drastically outnumbered. They are just outnumbered in people interested in pvp. Any alliance QQ’ing about open world PVP needs to understand that solo play is no longer viable. You need to move in groups whether you are going to an instance or just questing out in the world in order to have a fighting chance.

I have seen alliance roll around with multiple raid groups while simultaneously QQ’ing about being outnumbered. I think one of their names was Asmon or something…

Asmon is so used to having everything work in his favor the moment he experiences a minor inconvenience he begins to QQ.
