If you are complaining about an addon which reads your combat log and then spits out useable messages to you about what is happening in your surrounding 50 yards, then do you disable deadly boss mod in raids? How do these people know when Ony is going to deep breath? Sure you can read it in your system messages…But DBM puts it right there on the screen for me. Tell me how spy is different
You’re comparing NPC’s to actual paying customers.
I don’t use addons for raiding either, gasp!
I know ony is going to deep breath because I’m actually watching Ony’s position instead of having an addon do it.
Basically you’re admitting you’re incapable of playing without a computer telling you what to do. I.E. You’re bad.
TBH neither should exist but spy is giving people pvping in the world an unfair advantage with detailed tracking of something a human could not do in real time. Its nothing like reacting to visual cues.
OMG aren’t you so special!! You don’t use add-ons to make the game more enjoyable? Oh my oh my you must be such a hard @$$ mother in real life.
Spy only gives you your own coordinates when you detected something. That something being in the combat log and easily seen.
People willingly misrepresent this add-ons actually functionality constantly. It’s merely butt hurt people who want to blame an add on for their own short comings and terrible playing.
I dont raid with DBM currently. Whats the point there are no game breaking mechanics to watch out for but my point stays the same.
There is a widely accepted addon which enhances a major portion of the gameplay by making it easier for players to recognize situations in the game which were already previously described in other forms whether its in combat log or system messages. This info, on top of visual and audio clues are available to all players. The same can be said for bag slots, money, xp per hour gains…the list goes on. There are addons which give you easier to digest information making the game more enjoyable and more manageable. These addons are accepted in gameplay by both players and blizzard so…
So why are we complaining that theres an addon which does the same thing in a pvp setting? Just because theres another player on the other end doesnt change the fact that all of that information was already available to us.
No, I just don’t use addons because I don’t need them.
The comparison between NPC’s and actual paying customers is simply dumb.
Translation: I can’t figure out how add-ons work and refuse to use the twitch app.
Translation: I can’t play the game without having my hand held
No it isn’t. They both use the combat log for their information. It is just made more visible so you can just focus on the normal chat windows. It is not giving players any more information that isn’t available in game through the combat log.
Oh, I know how to use addons. And no, I don’t want anything to do with you twitch losers.
You can’t figure out how to play without a computer telling you how. Did mommy hold your hand at prom too?
Translation: I am mad because someone called me out on my b.s.
people who are resistant to add-ons, are just against them because they have not tried them and they have preconceived notions of what they are like and are biased against them.
I have used them, I don’t need them. You’re just bad.
An add-on is used to make the game more enjoyable so you do not have to worry about the tedium of certain mechanics. It let you concentrate on the actual game.
I bet you enjoy doing your taxes.
Taxes are theft, I don’t pay taxes.
Calling me bad because I use add-ons is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. you’re not magically Superior because you refuse to use add-ons.
Actually, it may hurt to hear this, but when used correctly, taxes are not theft and they are necessary
Okay Boomer.
Oh, I agree. But it’s pretty obvious their not being used correctly. So I don’t pay.
