Ion was very clear they wont be adding any fast tracking for alts.

Just like when they told us the whole Azurite Armour was an “unfortunate reality” we just needed to “deal with”.

Of course they then backflipped and in 8.2 removed the grind to unlock traits. Blizzard are constantly saying one thing then doing another. Maybe you should take your own advice?

Just depends on how many people want it, if it stands to make a difference in how engaged people are with the content then it really doesn’t matter what they say or might have said.

I mean, the removal of flight, classic realms and realid fiasco kinda fly in the face of your idea that they never change their minds.

And there are mountains of similar items that they haven’t flinched on, no matter how much people go on about them over the years. Just look at pathfinder, account wide reputation, High Elves or removing the requirements to unlock allied races.

Just because they changed their stance upon one item, doesn’t mean that they are going to upon another.

Essentially this. I’m dealing with it, I’m still enjoying my main, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it, and can’t complain about it.

Heaven forbid people have opinions contrary to your own, OP.

Don’t worry, most did drop it. For classic. That’s why you’re seeing the merge threads and dead ah’s/raids/bgs/arenas.

BFA is just flat out alt-unfriendly alt-hostile, with extreme prejudice.

Zero desire to level alts stalled at 110 and I’ve benched all but 1 of my 120’s now. My crafting alt’s are worthless, its tedious leveling them up without the world quest short-cut that legion had, and I hope that whoever green lighted Azerite power, Azerite Gear and the rest of that garbage explodes after burning his tongue drinking watery instant decaf coffee.

You’d have to pay me to grind another alt through to get all those essences again. I’d rather go back to my day job at the office than ever doing that.

Alts are for long term.
Essences are short term and completely useless when new expac arrives.

Blizzard, you can’t deter me from growing more alts.

Do we really need to bring out the big old list of thing said they would never do that ended up happening?

  • Blizzard said there would never be the ability to buy gold (WoW tokens)
  • Blizzard said they would never allow us to create toons of both factions on PvP servers.
  • Blizzard said there would never be a way to change a character’s faction.
  • Blizzard said there would never be a way to change a character’s race.
  • Blizzard said there would never be a way to change a character’s server.
  • Blizzard said there we would never be able to switch between a PvP and PvE server.
  • Blizzard said there would never be Horde paladins.
  • Blizzard said there would never be Alliance shamans.
  • Blizzard said there would not be flying WOD onward.
  • Blizzard said RealID would 100% be a thing.
  • etc

I mean you are bringing this up just after they released classic :rofl:. How long has Bliz said we will never do Classic servers? Just like classic blizzard fail to understand the significance here and will pay for it in the long run.

This. Classic received probably one of the most infamous flat NOs Blizz has ever given. The fact that we have it now is evidence that with enough demand change can happen.

Future proofing. 8.3.5 this all dies.

the balance passes of 9.0 will come. Some will be blessed with the buff. Some will be nerfed.

And many wiil have that alt in class that got buffed when their main class got nerfed.

And we will be there release 9.0 release day to spam the new fotm hotness. that has their balance people going dammit, they did it again.

My plan here is as many 120’s as I can work different classes. Nerf hunter, buff druid…I am there. Nerf druid, buff paladin. I am there. Etc for all combos.

Most will be weak by current standards. Doesn’t matter 9.0. We will all be weak those first weeks.
