If only adding tank specs to DK, DH, and Monks made a significant impact to pug tanks… oh wait, they did have tank specs and it didn’t help with pug tanks.

Between 20 and 30 seconds when queueing as healer.
Tank drought? Treat the pug tanks well and maybe, JUST MAYBE, they’ll keep tanking on pugs…
Or you know… Join a guild? Plenty of tanks there.
Yep, people just refuse to understand that the issue isn’t with a lack of tanks but the role itself.

Kinda confusing OP since the queue time would be the same if you were queuing as DPS on any class. Just go Preservation 
I’m not sure it’s necessarily a “role” issue, but more of a community issue. The only content that experiences tank shortages are exclusively with pugs and queueable content.
If only people didn’t treat tanks like crap maybe more people would tank.
I did my Uldaman run Sunday and the DPS was just berating the tank the WHOLE time for being slow, the tank did perfectly fine but was being screamed at the whole run.
We don’t need a tank spec. We need to appreciate the existing tanks more, and stop complaining about their methods.
Well I would bet in most cases it is due to the additional pressure non tanks put upon the tank role. They expect them to know the instances inside and out, understand every fight mechanic, select the priority targets for them and manage to pick up their mistake pulls. All the while they have to basically know or do none of that. DPS just walk in and kill things.
I have these expectation for DPS and Healers too, but I get what you mean. It’s why more players seem to struggle in low-tier content because the expectation seems to be one-sided leaning on tanks whereas harder content has the expectation of self-competence and carrying your own weight.
Something to this effect needs to be stickied at the top of these forums.

It might have helped for a little while, until people remember how much tanking for LFD groups sucks, then it will go back to exactly how it is now.
If you want to tank, don’t play a ranged caster class.
Doesn’t matter how many tank specs they add if no one wants to tank.
The last 3 classes they added had tank specs and didn’t even dent the “tank shortage”. If someone wanted to play a tank, they’d already be doing so.

I’ll be tanking some for leveling dungeons once i"m through a bit more story. but right now I’m enjoying the story quests.
