First I like to know how did you get so lucky and been free for 27 years? Second the core reason is i pick mine based on personality. See i pick class and then look at what race i think might go with character. Then i put some traits and quirks with it to round the character out. That gives me a general idea of what sex it is. Then over few days i work on his or hers personality and by third day it finish. Then i start the whole process of making the character. the funny thing is i only made 25 females and about 200 males. It is hard as a male to come up with a female personality that does not come off a machine gun Kelly.
Every character I create has a backstory. I have been doing this since Everquest. Example: My female bloodelf mage was the daughter of a magister who died when Arthas came to Quelāthalas. She trained in hopes to bring the Blood Elves back to their former glory.
My female Nightelf Hunter was there to watch in Darkshore when her home was burned. She was training to be a priest, but always loved hunting. She now lives to make Sylvanas and the Horde pay for their actions.
My characters have stories therefore I choose the character based on the story I create.
Better transmogs, better animations, rather look at a female butt for thousands of hours rather than a male one.
specially a draenei butt!

Youāre about as secure as a plastic padlock.
This topicā¦
And the excusesā¦
All are funny.
One true thing is the transmogsā¦ most do look better on females. Take the superb T3 earth shatter set. The fem draenei looks made for it, like Sauron. Compare to a tauren maleā¦ and it looks like a bad halloween costume.
Only exception here are Belfs and Velfs. Their males rock almost all transmogs. But theyāre gender neutral for the mos part anyway
And animationsā¦ fem undead casting is simple and powerful looking. Human male castingā¦, looks a bit stiff when they do it.
I really only like trolls for male characters otherwise I go female because they are more aesthetically pleasing and have better animations imo.
why do you pick a cow character?
Pretty much this. If I make a Male Character, it sort of feels like me.
I am a Male, and I justā¦ cant feel the same connection to a Female Character. I almost never play a Female. I can see myself as a Troll or Elf or Draenei so long as its Maleā¦ but as a Female, I can not play it with the same mind set.
I do have a female Alt though - but I sort of RP it as some one else. She is a Monk named āBeatrixkiddoā. So I think of her as āThe Brideā from Kill Bill being plopped into the WoW Universe. I have no real connection with the Character when I play her. I just love the movies.
I like women.
I always played male toons. I couldnāt get into females, I just canāt.
thats it you play what makes you happy
Armor models, weapon size scaling, and battle animations. Sometimes the female model is just more appealing for a specific class.
I wanted to play a male character for immersion, but the male blood elf rogues move and fight actions and mogs simply do not look as good as the females.
This thread is going placesā¦
Because why not? Itās not like I mind the view, and the female models can look as exciting or as appealing as the male ones, regardless of gender.
Women decked out in full plate armor are BAMFs, especially female Orcs.
This was funny. Lol. Talk about insecurity.
To me itās deeply disurbing when a straight male plays female character. To me it means there is something wrong with him deep down. And I just worry about his wife or girlfriend.
So what if he is single, what then?
Whoever said thatās an idiot.
