TMSean got Beta

Guy got banned for 1.5 years for selling runs for real money and Blizz gave him beta access.

Yep I am salty for me and everyone else who was been playing for years and never gotten banned for 1.5 years and didn’t get in.

This is the one salt thread I’ll agree with.

Really?

I was under the impression that long bans like this would blacklist you from beta access.

I guess it would only affect the one account that was banned and not other accounts he has?

This one does seem like BS on blizzards part if true

He admitted on stream every account he had was banned. This happened a few weeks ago. He made a new account to continue playing so I guess his streamer status got him in this wave.

Gee, it’s almost like Blizzard isn’t going through the list of people who opt in for the Beta and hand-picking those they’re going to grant access to, or something.

@ wigglytuff With this being something that happened very recently would you agree that maybe his beta access should be taken away if it was an oversight by an automated system then?

This is the most public example but there are plenty of xrank1 players in beta who got banned for selling carries and stuff…

Streamers>over logic.

Well that depends. Does Blizzard allow people who have been previously banned to create new accounts with a clean slate? If so, then he should be allowed into the beta just like anyone else who signed up.

Quite disheartening to hear. With streamers and beta access I understand why they are given some priority in the matter from a business standpoint and I’m not mad about that (as much as id like to get in) but this… this is too much.

Wasn’t Chance Morris banned at one point?

I suppose that is the question to ask… Seems odd though after such a high profile case to have the person immediately granted access over so many people but like you said, I don’t know what there rules are on this at blizzard.

I have no idea who that is.

That would be sodapoppin.

wow hobs got in and he doesn’t even play WOW anymore least from what i’ve seen.

Idk about soda, I know asmond has been suspended before and obviously preach recently was and methodjosh but from what I know nothing close to 1.5 years for real life trading. One would think that would be a big factor

Blizzard employees can extend their F&F to whoever they want. That gets people Beta access. That’s how streamers are getting their invites. Pays to know people.

I want to say that sodapoppin was banned for botting or something. I might be wrong.

You would assume though, if nothing else but from a PR standpoint, they would avoid people that were JUST banned for something so major? I mean they can do what they want obviously it’s their company and their game but they would have to know with all the tension already that this wouldn’t look good right?

His original account still banned. This new account has a clean slate. I dont see the issue with this.
