Is there any way to get rid of this? My least favorite sound in the game is now attached to my favorite mount. TLPD now makes the time/hourglass sound when you mount it.
I just tried it, I don’t think I’m getting it. He just does a roar.
They should change it to a goblin voiceover: “Time is money, friend; and this was expensive.”

I’m ashamed to admit how much time I’ve spent in the storm peaks… and still don’t have it.
Weird yeah, I kept mounting dismounting and I can hear the DF time sound. I think it’s similar to the one used in the Murozond fight.
… Which mount are we talking about?

back in the days there was a way to change any sound you didnt like with an empty sound file of the same size.
remember doing it for the “holy sounds” on prot paladin that were driving me crazy.
it’s been too long i don’t quite remember how to go about it. or if it’s even possible nowadays still.

I wonder if y ou can make a macro that does something like:
disable sound
mount (mount name)
enable sound
?

See this is what’s weirding me out, is I can KEEP doing it and getting the sound and other people can’t. Is it a bug? A feature? Can it be disabled? haha xD Is it an addon maybe?
Actually, I got so used to the sound that I don’t hear it anymore. But I swear it has been like that since Dragonflight came out?
I believe you are right. I just looked it up and apparently it was changed during one of the DF patches. How annoying.
If you have an alt that can go in Chromie time do that. War mode on or off doesn’t matter but less competition usually in war mode. I found it pretty quick doing it this way, same for the one in Deepholm, all the ones from WoD etc.
Not guaranteed they’ll be there the first time but I just left random alts parked in places and checked on them every so often. Easy peasy.
We should customize the mount sounds. Like when my Tauren hops n a llama. Want it to grunt under the strain
When I summon my mount I want it to sound annoyed with me

They added a sound effect that was commonly used around the Bronze/Infinite Dragonflight content in DF. It can be subtle depending on your setup, but it’s there. Personally, I like it. Very fitting for the TLPD.

I cannot stand it. That time noise is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Had to listen to it way too much in DF.
