Because it was a better system, and the only problem was a loud minority screeching about how some casual got a single piece of mythic gear as if that single piece of mythic ilvl gear is gonna make them a great player or double their dps. Something that corruption is currently doing because literally some corruptions give passively 20-30k dps no matter how bad or unskilled a player is.
Literally the only reason we have corruption is because certain jealous people kept whining about how a casual who did world quests got a SINGLE piece of mythic gear as if that compared to a mythic raider who has a ton of mythic gear.

it would in no way affect how the forge is recieved
its just scaled down and not +100 ilvls
tier 1 -
lfr 500 base +5 war +10 TF to a max of 515
normal 520 base +5 war + 10 TF = 535
heroic 540 base +5 war +10 TF = 555
mythic 560 base +5 war +10 TF = 575
tier 2 would then be 535 base for lfr , normal would be 555 base heroic would be 575 base and mythic 590

I still can’t get over how a very loud elitist minority are set on destroying the game for the rest of us. It’s their fault, not Blizzard’s that we have corruption thanks to their endless complaining. It’s sad really.

I don’t really think we need any forgings. Just standard gear drops, it’s straightforward and tried and true. Forgings and corruption seem like an unnecessary complication.

Literally you can’t think that what we got as corruption is liked by mythic raiders. People were agaisn’t rng and corruption are 10 times worse on the rng.
And no that doesn’t mean they should come back to titanforging.

Lets face it, there is too much RNG ontop of the usual RNG. You got socket bonuses, extra secondary stats, before 8.3, there was WF/TF while now in 8.3, we have corruption, and all that is built on top of the RNG of trying to get yourself the gear that you want to help you improve.
Let’s keep out the WF/TF, lets remove the corruption, lets bring back default gem sockets with socket bonuses, lets also bring back reforging to make an ilvl upgrade a usable upgrade, etc.
It should be if you want the best gear, you should be pushing through for harder content.

No. The gearing system is terrible. Bring back tier sets make Ilvl relevant. If FFXIV had the open world raid and dungeons like WoW I would choose that game because the gearing system has options but you know what you are getting plus sockets in everything .

It was a bad system and was rightfully removed from the game. Sure, corrupted items are worse, but that’s not a reason to bring back TF.
There were so many problems with TF other than that. For me it was trivialising the gearing process and making content obsolete before you even do it.
As I’ve said many times in the past - remove TF, remove corruption, bring back tier sets and balance classes basline instead of relying on generic addon-powers.

No it wasn’t.
The problem with Titanforging is that it forces you to continue doing content you are naturally finished with because it gives you a lottery ticket.
I shouldn’t have to run LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic raid every single week because even the LFR version has the capability of randomly being max item level with a socket.
Corruption doesn’t fix this problem by any stretch of the imagination. Both systems need to go away forever and the person who came up with them needs to be cut into chunks and fed to wild boars.
