Took me forever to replace that thing. i pulled a 400 from temple that was not even close. Trinkets are a mess
Same here! After the, what, a month, that the raid has been out, I only need 1 more piece (not counting rings because there are no crit/mast rings in the entire raid so yay me I get to grind m+ until RNG decides to grace me with one).
I cannot remember a time before when I completely outgeared a tier so quickly. You might think thatās a good thing, but I think itās detrimental to the longevity of the game. Plus, it makes me feel as if running heroic is worthless now because every time loot drops for me and it doesnāt titanforge, it feels worse than not getting anything at all. It feels like a wasted ārollā of the dice and now my bad luck protection for rolls is reset.
Canāt trust sims with on use trinkets. My branch for instance adds way more dmg than bloodmallet would suggest.
I hate Warforging/Titanforging. Sometimes I want to just feel like I accomplished a goal.
The constantly moving carrot just drains me and makes me not want to play. The fact that I feel like nothing I do ever means anything, with scaling and that hunt for an extra 5 ilvls, and every other constantly shifting goalpost?
It makes me thinkā¦ Why bother. Iām not going to keep paying just to be exhausted from that chase. Iād rather log out and play a different game, at this point.
I am but a humble Priest, here. I dont think forging is flawed in of itself, but it really should be capped at 10 ilvls higher than base.
That way, a TF heroic piece will still be 5 ilvls below a base Mythic, but still offer the whole āneat, an unexpected upgrade!ā Feeling.
Then everyone wins, right?
Ehhhā¦ We already have layers of guessing what will happen next. Iād like less RNG, honestly. The āfeel goodā from getting a high TF isnāt worth the āfeel goodā of upgrading my gear deterministically for me.
I maintain that a +5/+10 system should exist.
I also maintain that there should be deterministic and random progression in that system!
Imagine that you might get lucky and get +10 on a drop, but you can also earn a currency that lets you add +5 twice to get that +10. Sure, getting the +10 out of the gate would be nice, but not getting it doesnāt mean youāre ruined.
I often thought that they could tie it to the pieces. Like, if you got [Hansā Hand of Heroism] and you already had one, you could slot it into the upgrade UI and get 50% off an upgrade. That way getting repeat drops isnāt punished, but we also have reasons to target specific pieces or dungeons, while also still needing to keep farming.
Plus, it keeps Blizzards whole āfun momentsā from getting a nice +10 out of the gate, and satisfies the players desire to have some control over their own progression.
I think WF/TF is ākinda acceptableā in some areas and shouldnāt exist elsewhere. In the case of raiding, there should be a cap. Mythic is always better than heroic, and heroic is always better than normal. Mythic should especially have the best gear. I think itās cool seeing people in mythic gear, it shows that they did it, they won and at the hardest possible level too.
WF/TF shouldnāt be present at all in content such as world quests and warfronts. It should be gear catch up, not actual gearing. Why on earth should easy content reward better than the actual hard content?
Whats also makes you feel bad is when you get a Warforge and canāt trade it cause its ā5 ilvl betterā. I got a 410 cloak out of normal that has subpar stats. Now if we had master loot at least it could have gone to someone who actually needed it.
Warforge/Titanforge is acceptable, but there needs to be limit.
High end players SHOULD NOT feel like they need to go fishing for hours for the highest possible ilvl gear from m+ or lower difficulty raids.
Your words ring so true. Some people like the competitive nature with being in a Guild. Some people like myself found it very uncomfortable. Because of this, I changed my approach and began Soloing. People are forgetting ages of players and what they want out of there gaming experience. I am at the age where the competitive scenario ( whatever that ensues) is not fun. Donāt we all play this game for fun. Whatever one persons fun is can completely be something else to another. WoW has so many things for every type of player I cannot see why gear is such a touchy subject to people. Itās like blowing hot air on a fire that need not be disturbedā¦IMO if guilds are falling apart is it really honestly Blizzards fault. Come Onā¦really?? People grow up and want to move on be it leaving or doing other things in game. The constant need for camaraderie may be becoming a thing of the past. I have been reading all of the guild comments and it reaffirms my conviction of why I dislike or would not ever join one. As an observation it seems to me there are a lot of unhappiness within guilds. That is enough for anyone to place blame elsewhere . No one really wants to upset the apple cart or the group that carries them .
Getting back to the solo player getting higher gear Itās kind of nice being able to take down a level 121 on your own, knowing gear has helped your effort. The 122ās are a tad higher but I have many times been able to 2 man these NPCās. Again I believe this is do to having the better gear available. Pointing fingers at one another does not bring about a decent resolve for any situation.
What if I told you that all gear has room for titanforging or warforging and we all have bad luck protection, so Heroic raiders end up a bit higher than Heroic tier level, but Mythic raiders end up above Mythic tier level, and thereās still a separation between the two?
There are just as many good guild and neutral experiences but they donāt get written about as much as the bad - just like real life. Only when you get angry or annoyed enough do most people actually decide to write about their experiences. Then people jump on that bandwagon, because who doesnāt love a good bandwagon ride?
You are very witty and way to funny
Maybe thats your issue with guilds. You think theyre there to carry you. Most DPS in organized raids want to feel like contributing members that arent a burden to their team. And to do so they have to have an output that is comparable to the rest.
This was just an assumption- back off and untwist you pantiesā¦
You sound upset over a very pedestrian response, maybe you should take some of your own advice
LOL you brought up a thread from last night. Iām refreshed and ready to goā¦what else you got up your sleeve to dish out?
Yes i have a very good memory. I just hate seeing you so angry over simple conversation.
Is it accurate to say that you no longer look forward to a drop, even if itās a big upgrade, because there might be something else that replaces it soon?
In a sense, yes, but not as youāve put it. The way in which WF/TF decreases the joy of getting loot (for me) is that there is always a āthis could have been better.ā I am happy to receive upgrades (heck, even sidegrades can be nice), but this perpetual sense that everything I have could be that much better is exhausting. What if I have a favorite trinket or weapon that Iād love to TF, but instead, itās a pair of wrists? I feel like the TF was in the āwrongā thing. Not only that, I know that i415 is not my cap. Itās i425. There is no sense of having āarrived.ā I havenāt āgeared out.ā This just sort of kills it for me.
But letās assume WF/TF is somehow a good thing, and you all want to keep the āmagicā in the loot pool. Why not have a WF/TF item that will boost any item youāve got by X or Y ilvl? That would mean I could boost the weapon or trinket I love, and ignore those wrists. At least it would add some agency to the system. It would not be a 0.15 chance of getting a TF upgrade on a 6% chance, but it would be on the item I want. Heck, the drop could even be tied to the gear I had on me upon drop. Maybe I can use it to go back to an older trinket I enjoyed, but that is sitting in my bags bc itās i365 and not i400. etc.
(Sorry for the wall oā text, but I figured I shouldnāt complain w/o trying to offer a solution.)
I am not angry Iām sassy and itās fun to be able to stretch that aspect of myself once in awhile.
Well its great that Bornakk our blue maghar orc has repeatedly posted his opinion on TF/WF but i feel like all you have done is direct traffic on this thread Mr Blue
