Tirion's Pathetic Death

Whenever I do ICC i always think about how cool Tirion was and is actually the main reason I main Paladin but at the same time it also makes me think about how he was killed like a non important character by Krosus his death should have been Monumental not spit on with some fire and dead especially not during a scenario where it happens and then its just nothing there was no time to even be like damn a badass character just got killed off by a kil jaiden rip off I just think its stupid Tirion should atleast have went out with a bang and had a cutscene something that was actually cool and something to make the players feel something…

Tirion was not prepared. He should have taken a page out of Lord Illidon’s book.

He used his final blessing against Arthas

When we got arthas to 10% or something, Arthas did a “lul one shot” move on us and going to rez us all to his bidding

He used the Light to free him from his popsicle cage, he used his one freebie

He then asked for that blessing once more and that’s why he died

I quit during WoD, but I came back for one subscription period during Legion.

I don’t remember anything about my few weeks during Legion, except for Tirion’s death. His scream was pretty haunting. My boi deserved better.

It was supposed to be one of those “look the Legion are actually scary” moments where they kill off some powerful character.

Loses the impact when Varian dies like 5 minutes later.

I agree it was a lame death. He should’ve bubbled-hearthed.

It wasn’t a very glorious death, but it makes sense: As posted earlier Tirion was given a very powerful blessing of the Light to resurrect the heroes who took down Arthas.

Seems the Light does not favor those who grow over-reliant on it.

Don’t worry, though! At least Tirion died to a raid boss. Vol’jin got done in by the literal jobbers of the Legion.

To be fair, he’s still alive for a little while after his run-in with Krosus. He actually dies in the Retribution artifact scenario.

Paladins suck. Illidan was able to stop a blade from light infused overpowered turalyon by just a hand

Sure, but the VA basically put on the performance of a life time with that scream

Krosus didn’t actually kill Tirion. He dies later in Ret paladins artifact quest line.

Was Tirion’s fault he didn’t spec into auto bubble back in legion.

I agree, they really did want to kill off all the character from the past and form new one in their place ,SL was suppose to end all of them imho.

tbh i see it in a different way then most probably

yes tirion was an amazing character that deserved a great poetic awesome death

but that is not really what happens to most heros irl, most heros die in a ditch alone somewhere without any songs sung about them

and the lesson i take from tirions death is just that. he was a great hero because he wanted to uphold what he though was right and just. not for the fame and glory and accolades.

Can’t help but point out the paladin player doesn’t bother to rez Tirion. Furthermore they go on and rob his corpse.

That is true, there are alot of heroes in ages past and present we will never know . It could be just a simple save or juster ,those lost with no written record .

He fell in fel there is no coming back from it not even a paladin can rez him.

I see. He fel in battle.

Important lesson: The Light doesn’t let you run a tab or use a credit card.

yes!! exactly. the unwritten unsung heroes of the past.

that is why in a lot of ways i think tirions death was, well at least for me, a way to pay respects for those heroes that dont get songs about them, or statues, or glory.

but that is just my take on it

I honest to Thrall thought this was about GoT for a moment.

Carry on.
