But I am so tired of seeing the spec that I want to main (guardian Druid) be completely passed over in terms of design while other classes are still seeing iteration/tuning. I know they drew the short straw with their dev leaving but GD, it just hurts to see all these other classes getting stuff. Like the new stuff for blood and thunder. Taken from 2gcds to 1.
Much could be alleviated with simply a post saying “we hear you” and are working on it but won’t be ready before the pre-patch. As it sits now I am going to have to a) either dual main or find another class to play all together. This will be the first expansion that I may not main a drood.

I was under the impression guardian druid was in a decent place.
What do you feel needs to be fixed?
Or you could just play what you want instead of obsessing over tier lists.

I’m fairly certain Ion isn’t labeling anyone anything but I wouldn’t care if he were.
Also there’s no “systems” in DF.

He literally called all casual players “deficient players” in a Shadowlands interview last Feburary.
I was not pulling that out of nohwere and it seems like this mentality and min-maxing is really taking an emotional toll on players who can’t do the meta.

I’d suggest checking out the beta forums. Bear isn’t in a good place anx was forgotten after the dev quit, yet they did fuss with the other specs.

Haha in pvp guardian druids are the only tank. Go pvp if you are a good bear you could really get a high rank ez pz as a guardian.
All the tank players I know are happier when Guardian isn’t good.

This has nothing to do with any tier lists. It’s just not fun when you see the devs butchering some class/spec trees and as a main just realize that they have no vision or clue what they’re actually doing. It’s disheartening to see that other classes/specs get some new things to play and are powerful and might be fun, while the own class/spec is in a weird, unfinished place with no creativity. Especially frustrating after having looked forward to new class trees for months and then getting so little out of it in the end.
Druid and Priest just got the short end of the stick (because of the dev who left) with no communication, no proper realization of feedback and just pruning the class even more than in comparison to SL. I can’t really speak that much for druids, but if you look to the priest section of the beta forum, most people are angry and unhappy that we don’t get trees with meaningful talents that were thought through properly, but just some sloppily arranged stuff without much excitement to it.

you realize the name was a joke, because stupid people labeled them, right?
did you play then? I did. EJ ran a forum that was extremely helpful, where people could go to talk to theorycrafters, get questions answered, etc. the point is they weren’t jerks.
on topic:
bear is not in a good spot. our trees haven’t been meaningfully altered since they went live in early alpha. we remain the only tank with multiple 3 point nodes, we have a bunch of dead end talents. our capstones in the class tree are largely useless. and we have an almost 2,000 topic thread with a ton of suggestions, ideas and feedback with 0 acknowledgement that they have even read any of it.

yes, obviously, the choice is play a drastically underperforming spec, or reroll - but for those of us who have mained bear for years, that’s like being starving, handed a poop sandwich, and having someone be all “LAWL you don’t have to eat it”
