Tips to get gold for flying?

I just hit level 70 and I have about 300 gold. I have max skinning, and like 355 LW. Is there something I can consistently do for gold? I just want to get base flying

Continue questing. Outland quests give roughly 2x more gold at max level. Besides that, you can farm various elementals for motes of X and sell the assembled primals for a good amount. You can also continue skinning in Nagrand where people are doing the X Mastery questlines. Lots of free leather laying around; well, if your server is populated, anyway.

Quest, grind and work the AH. Sell armor kits and leathers. Some folks like to farm primals, but that’s horribly boring. You could also consider cooking/fishing. Some foods sell fairly well. Take a look at the AH to find out which do well on your server.

No you don’t.

if you take like 4-5 hours to do nothing but farm leather you’ll probably make enough
i paid for my flying with 5 hours of nonstop farming in the dead mire and using my herbalism skill on the bog lords. i sold countless amounts of primal lifes that way
once you farm enough, you’ll be pretty sick of wow and will need a break for a couple days -.-

Man, what did you blow your gold on? I was making lots questing and I didn’t even have skinning.

Even if you quested all the way to 70 the amount of 70 exclusive quests alone produce well over 3000g as you do them so I can say with 100% certainty there is enough quests to get base flying unless you are spending gold faster than you can make it on junk. Speaking as someone who did a fair chunk of quests when leveling including most of netherstorm. Just from SMV alone is over 1500g. I used quests all the way to epic mount.

Furthermore in SMV there is two long chains that are 70 only that are needed for not only the eye attunment but black temple attunement so they “have” to be done. Theses chains includes instances and between the two are worth over 800g alone, between drops while doing the quest and reward items vendored.

I went and completed all the quests in Netherstorm at max-level. The gold reward for completing those quests at max-level is insanely good. As a tailor - I made and sold Mystic Spellthread and Imbued Netherweave Bags. I had 5k in literally no time.

Netherstorm was a lot of gold for me, probably about 2k to quest it all out. If you have that place left in any capacity I would focus on it as I also had SMV up and it doesn’t feel like it’s quite as good thus far.

I bought epic riding and ground mount, plus put a lot towards leather working and helping a friend out. I understand that most people have the gold for flying when they reach 70.

I’m just a casual so its not like I’m raking in the gold or anything.

Thanks everybody for the tips  I’ll givem a shot

Here’s a tip. Go back into the old world and skin the yeti’s in Winterspring. We should be getting to the point where those low level mats are going for a decent amount of gold.

How do you only have 300g at 70? When I hit 70 I had 2,400g and I still had almost all of Netherstorm to do.

Did you just buy a bunch of stuff off the AH or something?

Depends on your server, but I’m making bank right now leveling my professions. I just hit 375 fishing today, fishing in the bay of storms. Stonescale Eels, Darkclaw Lobsters, and Mightfish are selling like crazy. You can just grind mobs- I make great money farming basilisks selling the leather and leather scraps, turning the meat chunks into food with a buff. It’s not huge money, 5g for a stack of this, 10g for a stack of that. Maybe 20g for something else. But it adds up quick. No gold-making venture is easy and it will take time. Just need to find your niche, and every server will be different in that regard.

Step 1: Get the Auctionator addon. It’ll help you sell things at a solid profit with minimal effort (less than if you went into the madness of undercutting/resale, but still good). It’ll also show the vendor value of items in the tooltip so you can pick quest rewards that vendor for the most.

Step 2: Level an alt with enchanting and get them to 275. It’s worth the time. Almost anything BoE that’s green DE’s for more than it vendors. Mail everything you aren’t going to use and DE it.

Step 3: If it’s not vendor trash, check if it sells on the AH. Gold is really inflated so nearly everything is worth more on the AH than to a vendor.

Those alone should ensure you make FAR far more than you have been, if you only have 300g at 70.

Don’t get bitter, just get better.
