I am trying to get WoW Tokens to pay for my monthly subscription and I am finding it hard to find a consistent way to make gold. My account has maxed out leather working and skinning. I don’t mind selling things on the auction house, but it is hard to find out what actually sells. I was think about selling the Warbear Woolies since they are a transmog item. If you have any way to make good gold let me know! Thanks for any input.
Its the end of the expansion. Professions are utterly useless at this point. No one needs anything at the moment.
Best bet is to just farm old raids for BoE transmogs and pets, and vendor everything else.
There’s a lot that one could cover. I’d recommended starting with some introductory Youtube Videos.
A good place to start if you want to make gold through Crafting is downloading and learning Trade Skill Master 4.
Transmog is a good market to make gold in, especially if you play on an RP server, and Leatherworking has a lot of nice sellers. Pandaria is a good expansion to start getting into crafted transmog.
Wait until the new expansion is released for token prices to increase. Then buy some tokens with money, sell for gold. 
Sell carries or flip on the AH. Really the only 2 ways to make decent gold.

Flipping can be shockingly easy. A simple TSM operation to buy mats at max 50% market value to resell later at min 85% is probably enough alone to make a token each month.
I made my way to 5mill selling +15 carries the whole xpac and farming atal dazar normal mode this last patch (with the luck of making 1mill selling mythic nyalotha boes)

Make Elf or Space Goat girl.
Remove armor.
Get on mailbox.
Dance on mailbox.
Profit.
If you have Legion leatherworking & skinning too, you can farm the Falcosaurs on the eastern shore of Highmountain, and use their leather to make Warhide Pants, which you can sell to the vendor for 36 gold (sometimes they proc purple, which sell for more). You also get Blood of Sargeras, which you can trade for more leather, and green BoE’s.
This makes about 7500 gold /hour. That’s one of the most efficient raw gold farms in the game.
Learn to make gold.
Learn your server.
Go to sites like theunderminejournal, learn to use it to see your server.
No ‘consistent way’ unless you are doing the shimmerscale striker or whatever shuffle.
End of expansion will be hard on a lot of crafted items and markets.
Mogs and Pets slow very slow.
You have to have 2000 or so mogs to see consistent sales.
Check what current crafted items sell.
If something is profitable, learn and level profession.
Good to have an alt to shuffle expulsom (youtube or woweconomy is your best friend if you are stumped on something).
Past that it’s good to get and learn using TSM also while you learn to make gold.
I honestly believe people are either ill informed or spread fake news on purpouse. Specially when the subject is gold farming.
If you have a “good” geared character around ilvl 440=450; You can just clean and skin the Dinos in Atal Dazar easily…from the plataform, the one in front of the portal which is a “+” format.
It is worth grabbing the litle ones at your right before going to the plataform… You just kill the dinos on the +, skin them with kultiran/zanadalar maximum skinning and reset till getting instance lockdown which persists for 15 mins.
Why you skin them? You skin the Dinos to create shimmerscale weapons which sells 57g50s each one at any vendor NPC. You get to create around 11 of those weapons each run of 4 mins. Plus the greens and the trash and voila you have 8kg every 30-40 mins.
Do this twice per day and you can buy shadowlands expansion in a month or 3 months of playtime.
You can do that with falcosars too in legion, in highmountain north shores.
You only need skinning maximized, you dont need maximized leatherworking for this.
Every expansion have always one easy way to do gold.
Or you can have several 120s and keep clearing Hellfire Citadel Raid from Warlords of Draenor with all your alts. Still pay the token but takes way more time.

Take two giant stars and have them burn through their fuel for about 5 billion years until they collapse into neutron stars. Not too much, though, or they’ll become black holes.
Then have the neutron stars collide with each other. The energy given off will be astronomically huge, but with any luck, the resulting gravitational forces will compress atoms into dense materials, metals, and perhaps some gold.
It’ll take a lot of time to get done, but you can make gold.

AH flipping is the #1 way to make gold, but it requires some understanding of your server economy and being diligent, but it is the best bang for your buck if you are good at it.
Raw gold farming seems to be an increasingly popular option for everyone else since it does not rely on any chance or luck or time to make the gold back.
Between BRF and HFC you can make about ~16k per character per week if you clear out normal, heroic, and mythic and this is probably about a two hour investment per character. Do it with two characters and you’ll make about 128k a month from this alone which will (currently) allow you to do slightly better than break even.
The only problem with raw gold farming is that it’s not the most efficient form of making gold. It’s advantages are that it’s consistent, able to be done solo, and the amount you can theoretically make generally compounds with additional toons which makes a lot of people eager to get into it, but it is a time commitment.
