Tips on 50-60 without getting ganked

I’m currently trying to level in searing George and my whole time leveling to 50 I didn’t have a major problem with alliance (with the exception of STV) but ever since hitting 50 I find it extremely difficult to level up without being ganked by a level 60 with no life. I know I rolled PvP server and that’s the baggage that comes with it. However, it’s sad that people need to gank someone 10 levels lower with no real challenge, continuously. At this point it feels like harassment (when done by the same individual). Any tips on leveling 50-60? I’m guessing stay away from zones like searing George and just run dungeons? What zones tend to be highly contested? I didn’t have too much trouble in hinterlands or Tanaris but I’m pretty much done with the quest there. I think I’m too low level for ungido atm. Any tips would be much appreciated.

Everyone got groups then ran brd until they hit 60, or rerolled pve, there is no avoiding.

Part of leveling on a pvp server was this. I’m on a pve server because I wanted to avoid that crap. However when I’m running around if I see someone flagged I’m happy to make their life harder. After all alliance and horde are enemies. We aren’t here to hold hands. We’re here to kill each other. Any time I can make an alliance members life a little harder I’m happy to oblige.

what’s sad is that you’re crying about pvp on a pvp server.

having said that, i had success grinding in felwood and blasted lands. and i would say 75% of my xp between 53 and 60 was instances. do instances.

Again, I get that is part of rolling on a pvp Sever. I have no problem being ganked by someone around my level, or even 5 levels higher. At least then I can fight back. But it’s literally level 60’s just consistently camping which makes the game unplayable in certain zones. I guess the only solution really is to find friends and quest together.

Welcome to classic wow, do you think well balanced adults waste their time doing world pvp? Lot’s of sick people on this game.

No one is crying. Everyone on the forums assumes that everything is a complaint. It’s simply a factual observation. Lmao. I literally am asking for tips I’m not complaining QQ

Oh I get it. I played on a pvp server several times throughout the history of wow. I don’t have any great advice for you except try to level somewhere else where the opposite faction isn’t typically. It sucks but it is what it is.

I obviously stated that I understand the concept of a pvp Sever. You reiterating that does not help and it’s just a waste of time. I asked for tips, not to be told something I already know. (Can’t expect too much though, it is the wow forums) lmfao

so playing a type of video game makes someone unbalanced?
so i pick up a pvp game because i like pvp, and if i pvp im not balanced?

do you also say the same about all those people playing LoL running around and killing other players?

Ya, as Alliance I have seen that starting at about level 30, and of course getting way, way worse once I got to 50. The strategies would mainly be the same.

1- Avoid SG/BS. This area was infested with Horde for me. Avoid zones with black lotus- EPL, WPL, BS, Winterspring, Silithus I believe. There’s always rogues sitting near BL spawns, and epic mounted folk riding circles for thorium/herbs who are more than happy to chase you for five minutes to kill you if it breaks the boredom of running in a circle for ten hours a day.

2- Dungeons>world levelling- even without ganking, you can do ZF GY runs up to 51, and then do BRD jail runs to max. Of course, finding groups is far more challenging now, though I am on a dead Ally server.

Dungeons are faster xp by far- especially if a group is doing a targetted part that’s better xp or you’re getting boosted- but even just regular dungeon runs are good for getting some preBIS.

At some point in the world having people just camping you does make it impossible to level.

3- Sadly, if you can’t get a dungeon at all, the strategy I’ve used from level 30-almost 40 has been to get the Ony buff and find a remote place at an off peak time. Luckily for you, there’s not much reason for Alliance to be on Kalimdor outside a few farming spots. Try to find a place to just kill things in Un’goro, Felwood. The plant monsters in SW Tanaris are often pretty quiet and there’s a lot of them so if someone else is there you can share the space. Azshara tends to be fairly quiet since it’s high level but there’s no black lotus spawns, if anything avoid satyr camps.

It’s boring, but if there’s no groups going and major quest hubs are camped it’s basically the only alternative.

4- At 51, jump in AV, kill mobs there. As long as you’re off the zerg path there’s next to no risk of being ganked.

Invisibility Potions. I suggested this to my brother on his priest–he said it has helped him numerous times for the post-rez and for just escaping/avoiding in general.

having hours to waste rolling around a virtual world just to grief, yeah that makes for a looser, a sick looser.

so if i load up a first person shooter and shoot at other players, that makes me a “loser” too? just trying to understand your “logic” if you want to call it that.

yeah if u on there for 5 hours a day lol, but no it makes you a looser because you play cod in 2020.

As horde, spend your time in the Plaguelands. Stay on the fringe of zones and off of main roads when possible.

Between that and BRD, ST, and later in the 50s LBRS and Scholo you should be fine.

I also agree with the save up rested XP by leveling an alt or two will make the total time in that gap faster.

Also, low 50s Feralas and Tanaris are typically okay, even with ganking. Tanaris your problem will be if you loiter around Gadget but if you just pop in and out and don’t bother others you’ll probably be okay.

Also also, you should be able to put up a meaningful fight against 60s by L55. You’ll probably still lose, but by 55 you should be letting them know that they can’t just steamroll you. If that’s not your case, look into changing up your gear and strategy.

50-60 isnt that bad since BGs only had 2 times I was camped and easily fixed them.
In Ungoro, there was a group of 5 Alliance camping Horde, formed a group of 5 and camped the FP for an hour, didn’t have any more issues in Ungoro, Same story Fellwood. Gankers are notoriously bad at pvp and usually ragequit after getting corpsecamped for a little bit.

One word: transfer to a PvE server. I’ve yet to be ganked once.
