I am playing on a Macbook Pro M1, 16GB RAM, 512GB Storage (halfway full) and my fps goes as low as 20 FPS when I’m doing the dragonflight races. Additionally my fps spike everytime I gain a wind boost…
Have you looked in the Options > Accessibility > Mounts section? I changed my settings there due to motion sickness, but you can disable dynamic flight effects which may improve the fps, too.
I also typically run about 50% render scale with FidelityFX super resolution resample and settings 3 with low particle density and most other settings on fair, essential, or disabled. It sounds on the low side, but since my 5k monitor can tax the graphics in some areas, it’s preferable to lag and still looks decent. I would try tweaking some of those to see if it helps.
I use an iMac with a large monitor so the settings may vary for you. Occasionally, I still have some issues with certain graphics, but it generally works well for racing. I hope that at least gives you a place to start.
