Tips for people camping TLPD and Aeonaxx

This did not come to me via youtube etc but more of an apiphany a few years ago. I have had locked characters for a while now and it dawned on me once we got chromie timewalkng that I could hop between these different expansions loop around in search of these 2 mounts. I used my 45 Paladin tank at the time but for TLPD I was originally successful finding that on my 60 Rogue soon as I left LFR it spawned @ Bor’s breath area that frozen waterfall. But I did test my paladin in timewalking and managed to find it 3 more times for small groups of people and I then turned my focus to Aeonaxx.

Surprisingly with Timewalking active it was relatively quick seeing as most people probably had not clued in to do this method and once I found it me and my Buddy synced up to kill it and I was quite surprised how large of a NPC it was. A lot harder to do without a tank or ranged DPS but you should be fine I would 100% do it on a 45+ level character locked xp or not just anything sub 70.

Hope this helps those who did not know and Happy Hunting. Warmode swapping on and off works also.

Its even easier if you have a few friends.

You get some leveling toons and each of you pick a chromie time. A lot of the time, it’s actively up in one phase or another.

Is each Chromie time (wrath, cata, etc) a different phase?

One trick I used is to do my mount searching at end of day and just log out there so it will remind me in morning to do a quick search when I log in. If you need a rested area for exp in deepholm just go into big room where portal back to SW is.

Correct each act as a different phase and with warmode on that is doubled.

My suggestion for Aeonaxx would be to not camp it. I spent many an evening and night back during Cata sitting in one spot or flying in circles around Deepholme. It drove me nuts. I got it years later out of the blue when I decided to fly around its spawn points one evening. Camping sounds wonderful on paper, but sometimes it can really get inside your head.

Best tip I have is to have a max lvl toon on an RP server.

The best tip for camping those two is to join the Secrets Discord.

This server is dedicated to helping people. They’re the ones that solve the puzzles Blizzard puts into the game (like the Hivemind mount.) They have a channel specifically for rare mount callouts.

Create a character for each phase (flagged Chromie time, unflagged Chromie time, unflagged and flagged) and park them in either Stormpeaks or Deepholm.
