How do you organize your Rematch tabs?
I have a tab for each expansion and a tab for each dungeon, with my general tab used for leveling or capture teams.
I’m wondering if there’s a better method.

That’s basically what I do, except dungeons because I’m personally finished with them.
I use the General tab to import and delete strategies I need to make scripts for, check things on, etc.
There are a few exceptions, like the Oozes in WC, where there’s multiple pets with the same IDs, making mouseover or targeting an issue. However, instead of scrolling to find the strat I usually click on the NPC and the option to load my saved strat for them comes up above the current team and I press the load button.
I hope this doesn’t derail the OP’s thread–I am very interested to know how everyone organizes their teams–but how teams are organized will change a bit later this year. The team panel will have a scrollable/collapsible list of unlimited groups that you can store teams in, with the option to pin/show up to 15 groups as a tab along the side of the window as is now. Clicking a tab will expand the group and scroll it to top. So rather than tabs being containers for teams it will act as a bookmark to snap to the teams in a list. Groups can be color coded with teams in the groups inheriting the color and used throughout the UI. Teams and groups can be picked up onto the cursor and reordered with drag and drop.
It’s probably easier to see in a screenshot:
Since targets will be able to have multiple teams, I expect some will have one group for Squirt and all teams saved for her in that group. For family familiar achievements maybe you have each target as its own group with all the pet types within, or you have each family familiar pet type as a group with their teams within, etc. It should be easy to have hundreds of groups if you wanted without it being a burden to use. Targets/teams can be scattered across groups and teams can also be saved to multiple targets, so how they’re organized will largely be up to the user.
I tried subgroups the way the target list is now organized, but it felt awful to use. Groups can be hidden/lost inside other groups, it takes up too much screen real estate for extra headers, it seemed like it was taking a lot of extra clicks, etc. So I’m hoping the simpler scrollable method will suit.
(The target list is getting a similar treatment, with subgroups broken out into their own groups and headers colored by their expansion. The target list is its own tab too since it was awkward trying to build teams while referring to targets’ pets without the list always there. Speaking of targets, if you right-click a target and Load Random Team–or click the blue die in the toolbar–it will load random high-level pets to counter the target: picking pets that are strong vs and tough vs the opponent pets. I’ve been having a lot of fun with this one.)
I’m hoping to post a beta version to the usual sites this summer, with a final release later in the year. I’ve been working on this rewrite for literally years so I’m anxious to release it.
With all that said, back to the OP’s question, I’m super interested how you guys organize your teams. Maybe there’s some use case that I’ve not considered or areas to improve.
Oh wow that’s exciting! Thank you for all your work and sharing some upcoming features. I couldn’t pet battle without Rematch.
Pet battle scripts was just updated. Try that addon
Wow, I can’t wait! That looks so organized!
