I have done plenty of tier 11 delves as nearly every strength and agility using class, except enhancement shaman, (I’ll get there) this season, but I’m just starting with casters. I ran with disc priest no problem, but tank brann and a mind controlled baddie made those runs smooth. Yesterday, I took a 632 flameshaper evoker (formerly augmentation) through the 4 available delves, and it was rough. I had to go slow and careful, and on the kill 37 nerubians part of Earthcrawl, fly all over the place staggering cds.Healer Brann, who didn’t want to throw potions, mechasaurs, 3d bioprinter. The bioprints were useless, so I switched to pacifist rig, only got killed from a dc once, so there’s that. Is there any better combo I should be using? 619 as a hunter, warrior or paladin was a breeze compared to my poor evoker. I’m not looking forward to mage, warlock and elemental. Thanks for any advice!
Warlock will probably be pretty simple since the healing potions that Brann throws out have a massive effect on your pets when you pick them up so Demonology would do just fine, it’s just a matter of the int classes that don’t have pets that might have a bit more trouble.
Best bet I think is to still just use healer Brann with Bioprint and the Grenade and use anything you can to mitigate or stop taking damage in the first place, like for Evoker using your cast while moving to kite mobs while slowing them with Disintegrate and the other Azure spells, and kiting as Frost Mage as much as you can.
Mage is badass in Delves!
I demolish them without issue most of the time, it can get dicey but that’s the fun part.
Bogpiper and the like are tricky when in crap gear, but all doable.
Just got to pew pew like you mean it, and use your toolkit.
Warlock is easy, mobs just fall over.
Priest one of my favs for Delves.
I use the mechdinos and rocket gear or kaja kola.
Also recently tossed the bio prints out.
Why thank you.
As an ele sham, I just use pocket factory and bioprinter. And sprint through them.
At 640 onwards my combination on Devoker (Scalecommander) was Healer Brann, Pocket Factory and Mechasaur. Turrets can give an absorb and the Mechasaurs are really strong for the damage they do.
(My Evoker is statted towards Aug), still able to do delves but it’s harder IMO.
Trick is to use Evokers class abilities - roots / knock backs and knock ups / Hover - it’s quite simple to keep yourself distanced.
Healer + tank Brann is easy, but fairly slow. That’s made worse by him pulling any mobs within 20yd, and can never use environmental damage to delete packs.
DPS casters simply have to use slows when possible, delay getting hit in the face but don’t try to avoid it at all costs. Have Brann healing and stagger out potion pickups. When you dip low and there are no healing potions, drop an AOE CC and make some distance for a few seconds until he throws out another set.
(& can confirm, frost mage pwns delves like no other dps)
Yeah I used my whole toolkit, it was more work than I’m used to in a delve. Mostly wondering how to optimize Brann.
If healer: Tank Brann
If Tank: DPS Brann
If DPS: Healer Brann
Ok. Got that. But what curios? For my tanks and physical dps mechasaurs and bioprint work great. Per an earlier post from Elk I’ll try pocket factory. I still need to try balance druid too. I got like 7 more characters to 80 during the winds event.
Bioprints inherit your Attack Power; for a mage or priest they won’t perform like it would for a pure physical dps.
So I run Rig on my casters and ensure to manually click off the buff to exit early and avoid the DC.
I learned this pretty quick after my first Delve. lol
Entirely depends on your playstyle - for me they’re of very little help/consequences. I haven’t changed mine since like week 2-3 of the season and just rush through.
This is the general expectation for a caster in my experience.
In stuff like Torghast generally the ability power scaling was high enough that it didn’t matter what class, but in Delves casters can still do T11s early it is just harder cause we squishy.
I disagree with people talkng about using your utility to slow mobs and kite around, etc.
Just run healer Brann, stagger the potion hots and blast away. Personally I would run scalecommander for delves though. Its better on small packs, you aren’t doing massive m+ pulls when solo’ing a delve as devoker.
Amen, brother.
Smarter. Not harder.
unless it’s me. then I use the KISSSS method.
Keep it stupid simple cause I’m simple, stupid.
Humorously, I have a scalecommander evoker. The evoker I was playing was augmentation, but that was just too annoying to run solo for me, so I compromised lol
nobody likes a know it all either.
