Tips and rules to win Ashran

No matter your faction.
For sure there are other tips than could be added to this list.

  • Split at the beginning so you can win RoC and extra fragments from Dark Woods or Molten Quarry.
  • Charge ogres at RoC so the enemy team can join you from behind.
  • After wiping at RoC, go kill big ogre at middle instead the enemy mage. --Why? Because it’s there.
  • After wiping at Roc, go backdoor the enemy base with a group of 5-10 people. It’s enough.
  • When an enemy Stampede and/or Frostwrym are coming, stay on the road to soak them.
  • Kill tanks first. --Why? Because they’re closer to you.
  • Make sure to taunt Kronus or Fangraal from afar to reset them so they can be healed to 100% again.
  • Don’t focus healers or AA carrier, they’re not important.
  • If you see an ally kiting a rare to your base, make sure to taunt or kill it ASAP so others can’t benefit from it.
  • Never use Yu’lon scroll to heal your dying mage guardian from afar. Let others do that.
  • Use road toys at any time, even if there are no enemies there. It’s fun to use them.
  • Don’t waste time capping flags, it’s boring. Better charge the entire enemy team.

It’s also irrelevant. Where the Mage is actually relevant to giving you a lead the other team might not overcome. Heck kill their Frag guy would also be better (though this should be removed)

Only if they are a relevant kill target such as Tanking Boss or Kronus/Groot. If they aren’t a relevant kill target you should never target them because why put millions of damage into something that is worth the same amount of points as someone with 70k HP in blues.

You should target low geared first
Then Casters/Ranged (so they aren’t freely picking off your team)

They are important. Definitely managed to win by killing the other teams AA then grabbing it to turn the resource battle around. It’s a big shift in power.

Idk if your trolling or not with some of these. Flags are massively important as it allows for easy wins. Once the flag is pushed to the enemy base the faction boss becomes easily available to kill as they come out which allows for future backdoors.

It’s hard to turn around a match where flags have been pushed against you unless you just outpower them.

Had a match where Horde was dominating every team fight. Had Kronus at our gate they were ahead 45 to 155. However we pushed flags earlier so a small team back doored Vol and we won. Didn’t matter they had everything, won RoC, killed our mage.

They didn’t control flags or play D after losing them…so they lost.

I’d like to add this OP is likely contributing to why BGs are bad because they are giving terrible advice when they shouldn’t. Which is why I made my thread on do you enjoy losing BGs? This is why people are doing more Pre-mades because generally speaking random BGs have the worst takes on strat.

10/10 satire.

If the comedy portion of this post escapes you, just do the opposite of what is said.

Are you that daft that you can’t see this is sarcasm?

I think they were kidding…

The real tips are to do the opposite of each of those.

The problem is people literally do this almost every BG so I doubt it. Honestly it’s so annoying to play with randoms these days. Which is why Pre-mades are so popular.

I rather people put good information on the forums so players can stop being so uneducated on what to do losing every BG without knowing how to contribute.

Most people don’t know that though and it shows in BGs. Arguing in chat anymore to get people to do the right thing is exhausting. I just leave now. I doubt the OP is joking since their strats are the norm.

You have to be the most dense poster I’ve ever seen on this forum. And that’s saying something.

I think that is exactly why they posted this. To make fun of people who do all those things.

Agreed. OP is likely trying to do that, they just missed the “/s” at the end.

Abomb you’re trash. get outta here.

Also if you haven’t realized this but OP is trolling

Only thing the OP is doing is causing more problems in a BG community that already has too many problems.

When they post things like

I literally was just in Ashran where someone was screaming charge the enemy don’t get flags they are pointless. Just zerg…ZERG!!! I’m like dam wish these people understood how these BGs work. Which then makes it disheartening to Que Random BGs creating Que issues and forces more players into Premades.

It’s just better to provide good information for the silent majority of players that come on the forums to find information. They don’t know if the OP is joking. They are trying to find the strats.

Maybe also if the forums weren’t so toxic we would have less lurkers just reading looking for information. Which these days only are getting mostly misinformation and not knowing it.

A couple things to add to this list.

  • Win RoC and leave every Burning Power buff up. It’s only good for healers anyway.
  • Ignore Solar Sphere all game. 20+% haste at all times is no big deal.

Better yet, don’t wipe, wiping is for those who roll arms. Skip the wipe, and maintain a itch for the enemy all weak. Also, do back door. Back door again and again and again. No one uses scrolls of portal. No one at all. No one will defend . And if they do, they don’t wipe, and have no itch. If you don’t wipe on 3 back doors, you will never know the feeling of a 30X resource loss per wipe. Err… wait …dont wipe. Report abort the wipe, stay itchy.

Wowhead Ashran guide intensifies

Edit: No, really. If anyone actually needs information on Ashran, I wrote a 10k+ word guide for it on Wowhead titled the ‘Ultimate Guide to Ashran’. Includes a few tips and tricks for the instance here and there, but nothing too serious that would overwhelm the average reader.

Interesting take on a quick guide.
Just do the opposite (as intended through the satirist writing style) and it will help.

This is about the only RB post I agree with. :stuck_out_tongue:

Dude, that beard is sure getting gray.

It illuminates the way when you are in Oribos. I’m horde on the same server and I can spot him so far away due to the beard :joy_cat:
