Tip: save UI

If you’re like me and tried to log in tonight while there were server problems, and then got in only to find your UI settings were gone do this:

If you’ve reset your UI the way you like again, go into the Edit mode, go to share and copy to clipboard.

Then go to your pc’s desktop and say new, text file.open the file, hit control v to paste that into the text file and then you’ll have a hard copy in case this happens again.

I have a lot of alts, but once the text file is created, you only need to open it, hit control a to select everything, then hit control c to copy it to the clipboard. Go back into the edit mode and paste it in there, and be sure to save it. Then you can just refer to it on all your alts.

Time consuming, yes. But it sure took awhile to get the ui back to the way i had it before tonight.

Hope this helps…

LOVE the suggestion!

But the question is WHY THE $@@%^#$%#%$#^% does Blizzard keep deleting it in the first place!

It’s the way the info is saved.

It’s stored on your pc, not the servers.

So if trying to log into wow, and it can’t, but then fails, i think it resaves the blank info over top of the original.

Not how i would set it up, but it is what it is right now. Hopefully they fix that in the future, but for now, i don’t wanna have to take half an hour to redo my ui all over again.
