Tip of the Spear and how I'll miss it so

How do people feel about the remove of Tip of the Spear for Survival? This passive has been a really cool gameplay mechanic for survival this expansion and fits perfectly into the spec. Thematically, it’s about you and your pet working together to deal more damage (KC buffing your damage) and gameplay wise it encourages weaving of abilities to deal more damage. I also liked the interactions it had with Cordinated Assault, Flanking Strike and certain tier bonuses where it made it so you wouldn’t have to press KC as often due to getting multiple stacks of Tip. I feel like if they removed Mongoose Bite but kept Tip it would have enough rotationally meaningful gameplay without making it too simple. As of now with both being removed, the spec seems very boring. It reminds me of BfA and Shadowlands survival where Raptor Strike was our only spender and you just dumped extra focus into it, sometimes avoiding it all together to focus on bombs. I really hope there is a chance that this mechanic comes back for survival and instead of avoiding it they build the UI around it just like any other builder and spender spec.

the new mongoose fury in alpha is technically more involved than the current iteration. I will certainly miss TWW tip of the spear, but we ended the expansion with so many frequent KC resets and extra tip stacks it ended up being a nothingburger mechanic

Ya i hate when they rmeove maintence buffs and add the dmg right back into all the base dmg of the skills… No idea how this was even implemented in the first place when they were anti maintence buff so long ago with ret paladins and whatever buff that was called.

I would’ve liked it more if it was an actual maintenance buff and not a requirement extra GCD you have to press for your attacks not to hit like a wet noodle. As it is right now i definitely won’t miss it.

Would rather they get rid of kc for survival all together and actually come up with an interesting ability.

I really hated how TOTS was implemented. If the stacks weren’t capped at 3 and maybe like 6, it’d be so much better.

Im happy with the way survival looks rn. Dual wielding, the Apex talent looks fun, A SHOTGUN, and not-lame-Flamestrike.
