Tip for when Re-organizing your Action Bars in 9.0:

Leave space for your Covenant Abilities.

If you wish to make Macros that will turn into them once you obtain them (so you aren’t constantly swapping while you’re questing and gaining all of them as you quest, then again when you choose a permanent one) so you can get used to seeing them, then you want:

#showtooltip
/cast Signature Ability

This will turn into the Covenant’s baseline skill once you learn it. AKA Summon Steward for Kyrian, Fleshcraft for Necrolord, Soulshape for Night Fae, and Door of Shadows for Venthyr.

For the second Covenant skill, it’s also simple:

#showtooltip
/cast Covenant Ability

This will turn into your class’s covenant skill. E.G. WIld Spirits for Night Fae Hunters, Flayed Shot for Venthyr Hunters, etc.

You should be able to choose the icon from the icon selector if you are brazen enough to go searching for them. Otherwise they’ll be blank until you learn said covenant skills, but this way you’ll get used to the 2 extra buttons on your screen, and where they are located binding wise.

Thank you very much :slightly_smiling_face:

By the look of beta they’re all being nerfed into the ground anyway. So why bother?

Thanks for this post!

My covenant ability will simply replace the essence, essences don’t work in the shadowlands, so they won’t even be used for leveling anyway.

Is your name a reference to stormhammer

Thanks. I think this should be stickied tbh.
