Tiny Keyboards

What’s with the modern tiny keyboards? I use a logitech G513 full sized with a numpad on the side. I actually use the numpad for quite a few non-combat WoW keybinds, like my inventory bags, sheath/unsheath weapons, run/walk toggle etc… Also just love the speed and feel of the numpad when I’m typing in a pin or doing numbers. Every modern gaming keyboard I’m seeing now is tiny and missing the numpad. Is this going to be the norm :frowning: ?

Can’t imagine losing so many keys for my keybinds in WoW.

Tiny keyboards for tiny hands.

I have a 10-keyless board and the only time I regret not having it is when I’m not playing WoW. Then again, I don’t use custom binds so it doesn’t really affect me like it would with you.

Yea they are TKL… I hate them. They are everywhere. I can’t find a normal freakin board anymore.

TKL does seem to be the direction these days. In theory I would like them but I still need keypay for enough things that any time I use them, eventually I miss the numpad.

Also who invented mechanical keyboards? I just wanna talk.

Try linear low profile switches on mechanical keyboards. None of the sound, all of the instant response. They are amazin’, that’s what I use for all gaming and work.

When the alternatives are touchscreens and membranes it’s easy to see why mechanical is number 1.

I’m fine with the keyboard I have. My misophonia just freaking hates that clackety clack when people use those because they never have freaking push to talk active.

I usually just ask them to either use PTT, or if they refuse I mute them.

Hahah
I love tiny keyboards.
I play with my keyboard angled so the smaller keyboards i find are more comfy and take less room.

Space saving on my desk for when I play games that require a lot of mouse movement. I missed my numpad for a while but once I got used to not having it I can use my little keyboard at about the same speed.

I recommend the Steelseries Apex 3. It’s 20% off the manufacturer’s website.

Mechanical keyboard collector nerds are in it for aesthetic (and sometimes sound) more than function, 65% tkl or similar ends up being most popular so the people making them either offer very few full size options or none at all because its not profitable.

Have to stick to more normal stuff to keep your numpad, which I agree is nice to have even if youre not keybinding it.

Razer is still offering a full-size gaming keyboard (I use a V2, the link is for a V3).
