Tiny Hitboxes ... HUGE NPC's

What’s going on?

This expansion has been bizarre as a melee main. The hitboxes on everything are tiny. Melee is forced to basically be standing on what they’re hitting. With the size of the NPC’s and bosses. this is creating a really REALLY poor experience with the camera, especialy during fighths.

you simply cannot zoom out far enough to see the targets.

trying to interact with the dragons in Valddrakken? you’re seeing their toes only. trying to kill random world bosses and you cannot even see your own character because everyone has to stand ontop of eachother just to hit anything.

I’ve basically stopped doing so many of the world bosses and fights cause it’s near impossible to see what’s going on.

BLIZZ. please PLEASE go back to these fights and fix this. Expand the hit boxes around melee. Having to stand inside every ranged spell graphics makes it impossible to see myself or my own activity.

I’m loving this expansion. Having so much to do is amazing. But these tiny hitboxes does ruin some of the experience when you can’t even see half of what’s going on or your own character.

While I think it’s really cool that Alexstraza is one minute 40 football fields tall, and then in the next scene she is as tall as I am… Something should be done about how we deal with raid bosses.

I’ve been attacking toes as a melee forever.

Yes I agree with op, it’s really odd!

It used to be that the red ring underneath the boss was more-or-less the size of the hit box. Stand in range of the circle and you will hit the boss.

It’s not like that anymore - some bosses you have to be right up inside their ring before you can begin stabbing. That spider underneath dragonscale keep is a prime example, you almost have to be in the centre of her ring before any hits will register.

Why the change? It’s annoying and we can’t see what’s going on.

Thank God, I’m not the only one who’s noticed this. Huge mobs. Tiny hit boxes. Like, come on, Blizzard. Not every mob has this issue, but some do.

Id appreciate if the hitboxes were slighty bigger for melee, it gets difficult to see sometimes especially in Neltharion or whatever that dungeon is named. It’s always, “IM TOO FAR AWAY, I NEED TO BE CLOSER” spam from my character when not inside the models.

Wurms: I can melee you from 20 yards away.
Spiders: I have to be… under and slightly behind you.

It is odd.
