Tinkers MUST be the next class

Or any form of a tech class.

11.1 is gonna bombard us with glorious goblin content, the player base is gonna crave a tech class more than ever before.

I’d say The last titan is probably the best time to introduce it. It’s the finale of not only the world soul saga, but the finale of two decades of wow and 3 decades of Warcraft lore.

What better time to introduce the arguably most requests class of all time then?

The titans are a techy cosmic force. What better class to help us deal with their tech than tinkers?

And of course, make it available to every race. Make the class color grey

Who has ever requested that? We have an engineering profession. Yuck. We don’t need more goblin fooey around. Their aesthetic is a vibe killer lol

You must be new

Make me. And not new

We already have too many gnomes.

I wish…but its not going to happen. There have already been to many “perfect” moments that they passed over for me to believe they will ever add tinkers. I’m sorry, but we gotta be realistic here.

Very new.

Not like this.

This is the undermine we’re talking about here. An entire season dedicated to goblins. This is gonna leave an itch much more intense than mechagon ever did

Then clueless

Don’t get my hopes up… I would love that. But we also thought tinker was coming after Mechagon in BFA.

Ik me too, but like I said, mechagon was a side story. Undermine is the primary theme of the tier.

Plus all this titan story is heavy on tech in general

Look at the machine speakers for example

Its been a heavily requested class for the last 20 years on these forums.

It has representation in nearly all cultures in the game.

It could’ve filled multiple niches in the game (another mail-wearer and gun user).

Edit: Instead we got fake dragons that nobody asked for.

I don’t know how you get much more intense than the High Tinker almost dying, becoming a mechagnome, and unifying all gnomes.

It was THE HIGH TINKER. There isn’t any other character with more Tinker lore than him.

That’s just one character and side faction specific story

This is an entire city, race and culture, all highlighted as the main story of 11.1

Mechagon was just side content that didn’t hold the fate of azeroth in its hands.

Am I being too optimistic? Perhaps. But undermine is much bigger than a little island and the gnome leader

You definitely are. Mechagon was also major patch content (8.2). I’m not sure why you think will be any different.

And Undermine isn’t even getting its own megadungeon. It’s essentially the Korthia and Zaralek Caverns patch…and both of those were horrible.

Nazjatar was the main story of 8.2… mechagon was just a side story.

Theres no mega dungeon but we are getting one dungeon and two delves.

And again this is the main story that is a big part of the world soul saga, that much bigger than what mechagon ever was.

Not to mention that gallywix is the final boss

The entire patch will be tinker tinker tinkers. 8.2 wasn’t that

Just to be the devil’s advocate here. Why would mechagon be when tinkers would come anyway? It was always a goblin tinker in warcraft 3. The War Within seems like its adding all of the hero classes from War Within ie. Sunfury - blood mage hero class. Goblin Tinker was a hero class in Warcraft 3. So why not add Tinker in the goblin patch?

I’ve seen at least five threads about it just in the last few days.

It’s honestly crazy to me that they haven’t added them yet. It seems like players and devs alike have a pretty cohesive idea of what the class would be. They gave us squads of tinkers to fight against on island expeditions. I felt sure after that that they’d be announced

And that technology and ingenuity is supposed to be the main thing gnomes and goblins bring to their factions. But there is nothing in the game to let us embody it.

People have been asking for a Tinker class since 2004 when Blizz thought it would be funny to mention a Goblin Tinker neutral hero being added. Before that in 2003, Blizz announced Pandaren as a playable race in WC3.

Eventually, things make their way into this game. With 11.1 being all bout Goblins, and taking out Gallywix, his most likely replacement is Prince Montey Gazlowe… a Tinker. So I suspect Tinker will be the new Mail wearing, tank class we were missing, and will have been setup in TWW and launched with Midnight. The void can affect flesh, but doesn’t seem to affect “Tech”.

If they call them Mechlords, I can see it happening.
